Feedback
I recently visited a fantastic new Peruvian-Japanese restaurant in Southend Charlotte called Yunta, and I was thoroughly impressed! The menu features an incredible variety of dishes, including sushi, steak, and ceviche, all made with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is lively and exciting, complete with a DJ at the bar adding to the fun vibe. However, the music can get quite loud, which might not be ideal for those who are sensitive to noise. Overall, this place is a tremendous success, and I highly recommend it, especially for a weekend night out!
Allergy alert! I took my boyfriend to Yunta for his birthday and made sure to note his allergies in the reservation, as well as discuss them with our server. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, but due to his various allergies, he had limited options on the menu. We decided on three different nigiri rolls, but as soon as he took a bite, he noticed it had cilantro in it and immediately spit it out. I asked our server, Christian, to double-check with the kitchen, and unfortunately, it turned out there was indeed cilantro in the roll. If he hadn't noticed and spat it out, he could have been really sick for the rest of the night and into the next day. Allergies are a serious matter, and this incident definitely cast a shadow over our special evening. On a positive note, Yunta did offer us two complimentary drinks and remade the roll without cilantro, which I appreciated. However, given the experience, I likely won't be returning.
