12/15/2020 I stopped here for lunch to try something new and let me tell you this place is amazing! The food was so flavorful and delicious!! I ordered the half rotisserie chicken, cauliflower, and rice. I started with the cauliflower which I couldn’t believe how yummy it was! I wanted more after eating all of right away. I then ate the rotisserie chicken and rice and used several of the sauces they offer! I’m sorry I didn’t try this place a long time ago I was really missing out! The food is not cheap but I will say it’s worth what you pay! It was $15 for me and I left a $3 tip so $18 and some change. I ended up having leftovers and made a wonderful chicken and rice soup for dinner the following day!!.
I stumbled upon this restaurant while in Charlotte for a sneaker convention. My sister was craving Mediterranean food for lunch, so we decided to give YAFO a try. The interior is spacious and inviting, with modern design elements. The menu offers a wide variety of meats, veggies, and sauces that all sound amazing. My sister opted for the spicy chicken sandwich with fries, while I couldn't decide what to get. I asked the girl at the counter for suggestions, and she recommended a dish that she would make for herself. I ended up with a delicious meal of kale, chicken, rice pilaf, and noodle salad. Every bite was fresh and flavorful, and I couldn't resist cleaning my plate. Washing it down with a Pabst, I can confidently say that Yafo is a great spot for a satisfying meal. Give my meal a try and you might be pleasantly surprised by what they whip up for you.
I got the chicken sandwich and cauliflower with tahini and both tasted sooo good. The sandwich was huge actually lol wasn?t expecting that, so I had left overs. It was spicy too, but not too spicy. I could still taste the flavor. I like this locationbetter than the others, because the food isn?t greasy here like the other locations
I absolutely love this place when I visit town. They serve fresh, made-to-order Greek food. The parking situation isn't great - it's very tight and hard to find a spot most of the time, but the restaurant itself is amazing. They have outdoor patio seating, and the inside is spacious with plenty of seating as well. To order, you start with rice, then choose add-ons like vegetables, hummus, etc. Everything is clearly made fresh. You can add proteins and choose sauces - it all looks so delicious! They serve their bowls in disposable, earth-friendly containers and there's a sign indicating they source their chicken from a local farm. They also have specialty drinks or you can choose a soda fountain drink. It's a bit pricey for one person, $21, and the add-ons can quickly increase the total cost. The staff is professional, kind, and very helpful. The cashier was lovely. If you dine in, your food comes on a tray, you bring it to your table, eat, and then bus your own food to the counter where you dispose of the trash yourself. I can't wait to go back again!
First timer, visited with my girlfriend who lives in Charlotte, and WOW!! The atmosphere, the service, the cleanliness were TOP NOTCH. Then, toss in the FOOD and AH-MAZING! Each ingredient was fresh and tasted like real food, nothing processed! I orderedthe build your own bowl and ate beets and enjoyed them for the first time ever in my life, no lie-I devoured the bowl! I orderedtwo more to go to bring home to my husband (there isn?t a YAFO where I live, about an 1.20hr away). Got home and first taste- myhubs was impressed and said it was delicious! They also make their own drinks, and no kidding, the balance of flavors are uniqueand quite delicious. This is now a go-to spot whenever I visit Charlotte.
This restaurant is a hit with vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters alike. It's our go-to choice when we need a quick and satisfying meal.
