I had one of the best experiences of my life at a Japanese steakhouse. The food was outstanding, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant. With many years in the restaurant industry, I tend to be quite particular about food, but this place exceeded all my standards and expectations. Thank you to everyone who works here for being so wonderful; we will d... View all feedback.
What Nicasha M doesn't like about Tsuki Japanese Steak House Sushi:
Went in at 1:45 pm during lunch hours before close at 3pm. The entire time we felt rushed by wait staff to order, eat, and leave. Could be normal flow to keep up with lunch crowd but there was only one other customer in the restaurant during our entire visit. We ordered the Crispy Smoked Salmon roll to start. Chose Salmon and Filet Mignon Hibachi from the lunch menu. The sushi roll was decent and thankfully was bread... View all feedback.
For starters, the location has plenty of parking and the inside was recently renovated. Nice bar and comfortable seating. The front desk lady was a little mean but our waitress was super friendly and good at her job. Arrived at 5pm on a Sunday and it was empty. At 5:45 the place was completely packed. I ordered a Mai Tai and Hibachi steak and shrimp. The Mai tai didn't taste great but it was ok enough to drink. The fried rice was very whatever (6 out of 10). The steak was ok (7/10). The shrimp was by far the best part of the dish. Vegetable we're ok too. Would I come back? Yes. Until I find a better hibachi spot close by. You have to make reservations if you want the chef to cook the foos at the table. I did not have a rez so they made the food in the back and brought it out to me. It was a little cold.
Finally! I found some delicious hibachi in Charlotte. The sauces were fresh and packed with flavor, the vegetables were tasty and had a nice texture, and the meat was tender. I ordered a medium-rare filet mignon, and it came out more on the rare side. However, I thought fifty-two dollars for a single entrée with just one veggie roll was quite pricey for takeout. The portion sizes were reasonable, but not large, and while the hibachi includes fried rice, it doesn't come with noodles. I would definitely come back for the great flavor, but the pricing is less appealing.

Could be normal flow to keep up with lunch crowd but there was only one other customer in the restaurant during our entire visit. We ordered the Crispy Smoked Salmon roll to start. Chose Salmon and Filet Mignon Hibachi from the lunch menu. The sushi roll was decent and thankfully was breaded lightly. Sometimes fried rolls can get a bit heavy on breading. The hibachi was okay. The salmon was over cooked and the filet was tender but mushy which made me think the steak may not have been fresh or a bad quality. The menu does offer plenty of variety.
The staff at this restaurant is wonderful, from the chef to the servers, all of whom are very attentive! The atmosphere is fantastic, and we absolutely love hibachi. They were very accommodating with my allergies, which I really appreciated. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the fried rice and noodles could use more flavor and weren't as fluffy and fully cooked as many people prefer. The highlight of the meal was definitely the salmon; it was cooked to perfection and well-seasoned. The steak was quite good, the scallops were just okay, and my family enjoyed the shrimp. We were a party of 10.
The best SUSHI around the Ballantyne area! Also their hibachi is super yummy too. Should you be with someone who doesn't warn/eat sushi you can still order hibachi too. The lobster king roll I highly recommend' MICHELLE is the BEST server . Ask for her when you go .
