Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Super waiter at the bar. Showed up unexpected an hour earlier than reservations and was accommodated with seats at the bar. Great experience View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The King's Kitchen:
There were seven of us. Our waiter was very nice. They brought out six of our meals and twenty minutes later the seventh finally came. The chicken that two people ordered came out cold. The rest grew cold waiting for the last meal. Our waiter said he was speaking with the manager. He never came over or said a word to us. No one came to see if we wanted anything else or dessert. Checks were put on the table and that w... View all feedback.
I really loved the fried chicken, and my daughter enjoyed the shrimp and grits as well as the grilled pork chop. Both dishes were excellent. Our server was friendly, although she seemed a bit distracted by her phone. I would definitely recommend this place; I really admire their mission.
We had a fantastic dinner experience at this restaurant this week! The fried chicken was delicious, the sides were tasty, and the service was excellent! I enjoyed learning more about the mission and concept behind the restaurant, and we definitely plan to return!
I had a delightful dining experience here, highlighted by the fantastic service from Ingrid! The restaurant's mission and commitment to its values made it an obvious choice for dinner. Since we were craving Southern cuisine, the fact that our meal would help others was a no-brainer! The super cool minimalist ambiance pairs perfectly with excellent food. We ordered fried green tomatoes, chicken pot pie, squash casserole, and a fried catfish dinner. Everything was delicious, especially the coconut cake at the end! I truly love this restaurant's concept of giving back!
We stopped in at King's Kitchen while in Charlotte for a Football game and enjoyed great food, service and people watching. Get a table at the window and watch the sights while you enjoy some nice southern foods. The fried Green tomatoes were thinner sliced than We had had before, but very tasty. My wife enjoyed the Reezy Peazy... a vegetarian dish with Rice and field peas(Like Black-eyed peas). The fried chicken sandwich, collard greens, and Fried bologna sandwich were all excellent. Also, nice selection of local beers. While the food and service can stand on their own, the mission of The King's Kitchen gives it even more appeal. Great meal. Super service. We walked to the restaurant, so not sure about parking. Would recommend!
It was VERY loud in the Saturday's evening. Service was really great and friendly, but the food was terrible. We've ordered Roasted Pork Shoulder and it was terrible. Meat with leaves and bouillon which is weird. I would call it pulled pork instead. I wish they had pictures in the menus. There was no additional salt or pepper and napkins also.
