The staff was wonderful. This store is always clean. I have visited in a few years. The only thing was the custard didn't have really any flavor. It was creamy like I love but it had no sweetness. View all feedback.
What Sophia B doesn't like about Rita's Italian Ice Frozen Custard:
Very disappointed the flavors looked soupy and not well tended to. I ended up getting a custard with cold fudge . Maybe I came too close to when the store was closing. Disappointing! View all feedback.
Everytime I visit They never ever have sugar free icee So I will not return . I enjoy this so much yet I can never have it because you never have it . There is a community that would love to enjoy this but due to your biased menu ignore them . If you have it and it goes quickly then that should be a sign that perhaps you need to increase your production. Whom ever is managing this apparently doesn’t see the issue or his employees never tell them . Good bye
Went in this evening to grab a few items was appalled at the way the oldest crew member( possibly owner or manager), spoke to a group of teenagers in the store. All of the teens purchased something were standing at the register waiting on the last friend to pay. The manager said if you have already paid for your treats please step outside. There is a way for you to speak to patrons after they just paid in your establishment regardless of age. As a reminder, you also have teens that work there. If that is how you speak to your staff, then you may need some training. As a parent of a teenager, I found it pretty rude in your tone. Now if the kids were in there, didn’t order or spend that’s a whole other thing. You never know who is watching listening.
I love Rita’s and frequent the Lancaster Hwy location every Wednesday after Bible study. It’s Italian ice, what’s not to like, right? Like most restaurants, teenagers are the mainly employed here, and it’s never been a problem until tonight. I walked in and waited at the counter for what felt like eternity, but was probably only 5 or 6 minutes and never received service. There was one young girl working there and despite her being an arm’s length away from me, she never asked what I’d like to order or even made eye contact. Confused and a little saddened, I walked out. The next group came in and she took their order right away. When I called to report this unfortunate incident, the manager stated that she’s a great employee, and I simply mistook her concern for my privacy (I had the phone to my ear) for rudeness. Perhaps initially, but after 5 or 6 minutes and even after removing the phone from my ear, I would think that would warrant at least a hello. *Sigh* Again, it’s just Italian ice, but I felt disregarded and disrespected. I’m posting in hopes that the right people will see this and at the least use it as a training opportunity.

Quality treat, stingy portion sizes for the price especially when compared to some of the other Rita's and Ice cream shops around.
