Nice to find this hidden jewel in Charlotte. We invited two more couples to join us for dinner and all went full and happy. This is a small place so you might have to wait for a table, but it is worth it. You also have very good vegetarian options. Update 10/2021 This was the last restaurant we ate before Covid influenced us all so. I had a friend from the city to visit and decided we had to go Thai food and that was... View all feedback.
What Kelly Paige doesn't like about Rai Lay Thai South Blvd:
This food was bland and had a bad smell. The tofu was dried out, noodles lacked any coloring from the sauce, and egg was fried to the point of looking burned. Maybe it was a bad day, but this was not food I would recommend. View all feedback.
I visit this restaurant frequently, and I can honestly say that the customer service is unparalleled compared to any other place I've been. The staff is incredibly friendly and always goes out of their way to accommodate guests. Aileen is exceptional at connecting with patrons and ensures that you have everything you need. There's also a wonderful young man with brown hair who provides the best customer service I've ever experienced—he truly went above and beyond for me. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding food and exceptional servers and hosts.
Don’t eat here. The local inspector should surprise this place and pop up to check it out. I found a French fry in my food. Terrible…
The team and I just had an unforgettable lunch experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was simply outstanding. Plus, the atmosphere was so inviting and delightful. We should definitely come back here again sometime!
This is one of my favorite places to go eat!!! Every dish I’ve eaten here has been delicious. I love the red curry.!! Chicken wings are the best I’ve ever eaten!!!
I dined in a couple of days ago and had their basil chicken, which is one the best ones I’ve ever had. Not spicy though — which is how I enjoy it best — even at the highest level (5). And it had green and red bell peppers, and broccoli — which is a first for me, but it worked! So tasty. A wonderfully generous portion. I would have loved to have more basil and Thai chili peppers in it. Yet, even still, it’s a solid 5 for what it is. My friend got the pad see ew, which I tried — also a good dish. Got Thai iced tea too — so good! The restaurant itself is a simple one. It’s one of those eateries where you go for the good food and not the vibes. Very pleasant staff. If you like Thai food, give this place a try!
