The food was “ok.” My steak was seasoned well but when it arrived my food was lukewarm. The server was pleasant. He came once to check on us at the beginning of our meal. He never came back again until our meal was done. I never got a refill on my drink. It’s hard to eat steak without something to wash it down with. My husband said his barbecue chicken was “pretty good.” View all feedback.
Today, we dined at Punta Cana Restaurant and we're from Charleston, SC. I must say, the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The number of customers dining there gave me a good feeling about the food quality. The dishes we had were delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The presentation of the food was impressive too. We enjoyed pork with mofongo, carne frita with mofongo, a Cuban sandwich topped with lettuce and tomato, and breaded chicken served with moros and yuca frita. Enjoy our photos!
Will I be making that 2-hour drive to Charlotte more frequently? Absolutely! This restaurant offers the best Dominican food in North Carolina. My husband ordered the white rice with beans and chicharrón, and he couldn't stop raving about it! It was perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. I had the mofongo with shrimp and sauce, which was delicious—perfect in both texture and flavor. I highly recommend trying their food; I promise you won't be disappointed. Everything was exceptional, from the service to the food to the atmosphere.
To be honest, I had never tried Dominican food before, but having grown up in Brazil, I recognized many dishes on the menu. The aromas as soon as I entered were absolutely divine! I ordered the beef pastelles and quickly devoured them before even taking a picture; they reminded me so much of the ones I had in Brazil. I also tried the marinated beef, rice with beans, and plantains. Everything was perfectly seasoned and incredibly delicious! I would give it a definite 10 out of 5! Plus, there was more food than I could possibly eat by myself.
Needs some upgrades. Food was good. My black beans were a little cold. There was 5 of us, everyone enjoyed their meal. One guess had red snapper he said it was a little dry. Other than that the food was good and the waitress was attentive. Goodservice.
The food here was terrible! Definitely not Dominican! For some reason everything what we ordered such pernil, moro, habichuelas and roasted chicken was so salty. Not to mentioned that food took forever to come out and the service was bad. Never againwill we go back here. DO your self a favor and look somewhere else for good dominican food .
