What Freddie Rowe likes about Price's Chicken Coop:
Who needs grills when you get for this cheap food? Two pieces of dark meal with iced tea was $9, went in and out in less than 2 minutes. Two pieces of chicken, frits, 2 hush puppies, bread and hover with a pimp. Come back to dinner at any time View all feedback. What Bryon Kilback doesn't like about Price's Chicken Coop:
Food is pretty good but to say it's the best fried chicken in Charlotte seems generous to me. The food was fresh and the service was very good but the chicken itself didn't taste seasoned enough to me. The fries also were not seasoned. This is the type of chicken that needs some hot sauce in my opinion. Overall I think it's okay and I would return if I was already nearby but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Stopped by Price's Coop hoping for a WOW moment It didn't happen. Their chicken is cooked perfectly but something was obviously missing.

read morePrice's Chicken Coop in Charlotte has been a long-standing favorite for many, and for good reason. While some may find the fried chicken to be good but not necessarily the best in town, the overall consensus is that the food is fresh, tasty, and served with great service. The prices are very reasonable for the generous portions you receive. The chicken, especially the dark meat, is the star of the show and is highly recommended. However, be prepared for a wait as the restaurant is always bustling with customers. With a loyal following and a history dating back to 1962, Price's Chicken Coop is a beloved establishment in Charlotte, despite the fact that it recently announced its closing after 59 years of business. If you're looking for delicious, no-frills fried chicken at fair prices, Price's is definitely worth a visit. Just remember to bring cash as they do not accept cards!.
