Oh My Soul - Charlotte

I ate here daily while visiting Charlotte! It’s ah real chill dine in environment. And they have a fully loaded bar. What did I have? It was this veggie omelette w/avocado, even tho the avocado wasn’t ripe the 2 times I ordered it, still the best plant based omelette ever! Oh my! I almost shed tears while trying to go there one last time on a Monday, the day I was leaving. They were closed. ? The “kickin kale”! The bartender has dope energy. I love how saucy “Oh My Soul” is, cause I can’t do anything without sauce.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good vegan spot. I got the Buddha bowl and it was amazing. The food is definitely fresh you can tell by the flavor. I was in on a Tuesday evening and either they are a bit short staffed or might have been down a person that day because I waited in line for longer than I would have expected. I understand that things happen it’s just worth noting. What made up for the wait was how friendly the employees are! The food came out quicker than expected, and the serving size was huge, I had enough to take home. Great experience and atmosphere, I’d definitely go again!

I had the most wonderful, delicious experience. My friend practically had to drag me in… didn’t think I’d enjoy a vegan meal. Turned out to be one of my favorites on vacation while in NC from Denver. Taylor, Hanna and Theresa were all super friendly, helpful and on point! Thank you girls, so wish this place existed in Colorado.

10/10 Recommend!The two girls working the counter were knowledgeable of the menu and happy to answer all questions. As this was our first time here, we asked for recommendations and they offered a few of their favorites and suggested a few others.We decided to order the Hippie Chick burger and the Vicken maple bacon ranch veggie wrap and a side order of jalapeño hush puppies. They did not disappoint! All our food was delivered within 10 minutes and it was fantastic!As a vegan, I really appreciate places likes this, as I have no vegan places close to home.It 's outdoor seating only but they have a lovely seating area out back that is covered and there are several industrial outdoor cooling units throughout. There is plenty of seating available and there is a full service bar for drinks as well. There was also a small stage in the seating area, so I would assume they may have live music on occasion. I also appreciated the self service water station and self serve take out containers if needed.The only downside is parking. It 's on street parking only and spaces were limited even during a slower weeknight. I 'd walk 5 miles though to enjoy their food again!Dietary restrictions: This is a 100% vegan restaurant.Parking: Limited on street parking. No meters though.

Their options were impressive and I was not prepared by the astounding amount of variety they had. I got the Waka Waka Vurger. This had a unique and delicious flavor. I've never had South African food, but if this is how it's supposed to be then I need to seek out more. My wife ordered the Hippie Chick Vurger which was just as scrumptious as the Waka Waka. Their main dishes were so remarkable, that I wasn't going to miss out on dessert. Unfortunately, both the chocolate-dipped cheesecake and the banana gelato we had were not good. The cheesecake tastes like pure coconut extract and had no cheesecake element at all other than the texture. The banana gelato was filled with artificial banana flavors and not enjoyable. If these folks could improve their desserts, would without a doubt rate 5 stars.Vegetarian options: All-vegan restaurant.
