My wife and I went there three times in the past month. Great food, cold beer, friendly staff. For Charlotte Knights games you can park across the street, eat at Murphy's and walk to the ballpark. We'll definitely go back many more times. And we look forward to their sister restaurant, Inishmore, coming soon to 1315 East Blvd. in Charlotte. View all feedback.
What Damon Heaney dislikes about Murphy's Kitchen & Tap:
I got the goat cheese noodles that had goat cheese in the sauce and a whole ball of goat cheese on top. This is far too much goat cheese! Plus the taste was bland. Not worth the money I spent on it View all feedback.

Waitress seemed uninformed. Food was ok but my coworker didn't like her fish and chips
My boyfriend and I took his parents to Murphy's this past Saturday. We made reservations for 5:30. There was unexpected traffic on the way there so I called at 5:25 explaining this and asking them to hold my reservation and we were on the way. They guy on the phone told me that it would be no problem and that they would see us soon. When we got there, at 5:40, the host had given our reservation away so the only option for seating was outside it was 82 degrees and didn't really want to sit out there but we didn't have a choice . When the waitress came out she first took our drink order. My boyfriends mom and I both wanted a glass of white wine $7.50 when she came back out she let us know that they were out of that wine, so we told her another kind of wine to bring us also $7.50 . So came back again and told us there were out of that wine as well and that the only option was the $11.50 glass of wine and added the little side note that we would still have to pay the $11.50 we weren't looking for a discount but to be so uninformative about what kind of wine was available was extremely annoying plus stating that we would have to pay the $11.50 was rude obviously we would have to pay full price???? . When we ordered our food she never gave us the option to pick a different side besides french fries there are multiple other options . Overall, the experience was not a good one and I would not recommend Murphy's to any of my friends.
Best Authentic Irish Pub in Carlotte!! If you are staying in Uptown, it's a short scenic walk to get there, and a mild stumble home!
The service at this restaurant was excellent. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and caring. She took us to a quieter table when one became available at the counter. She made sure everything was in order, even when some rowdy patrons had had a bit too much to drink. My husband enjoyed the fish and chips, which were very good, and even the coleslaw was tasty. I had the brussel sprouts and potatoes. The brussel sprouts were good, but the portion was surprisingly small, hardly more than 4 ounces! The potatoes were tasty, but the crispy ones could have been crispier. The bacon dressing was delicious. Both meals were warm, though not piping hot due to the busy atmosphere. We also tried the bread pudding, which tasted good but seemed a bit stale and lacking in fresh toppings. The coffee was weak. Overall, I would like to give this place another try as the food was decent. I would recommend it to a friend, but maybe not my picky mother. The music was loud but enjoyable.
