Good was very tasty and service was great. The place was very busy but we had made a reservation and were sat right on arrival. The dining room is very large and there is lots of seating and more seating at the bar. We chose to share the corn bread skillet and this was very good. For dinner I got the half chicken and it was so filling and came with two sides. I got the Mac and cheese and broccoli and they were so goo... View all feedback.
Great spot for a delicious and very reasonably priced dinner! Our server Allison was so attentive and explained any questions we had with a big smile and her Carolina charm. The food was scrumptious, especially the broccoli casserole, Pimento burger, and hush puppies. Amazing place!Food: 5/5
Midwood Smokehouse was the second BBQ joint I tried upon moving to Charlotte (after Spoons). It’s been consistent after all these years and through the pandemic. The appetizers are solid. The Smoked Wings with Ranch and Garlic Buffalo sauce are my favorite followed by the Pimento Cheese fries and Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeños (which also double as a side). My favorite main menu entrees are the Brisket Burnt Ends, St. Louis Ribs, BBQ Chicken and Sausage. They also have daily specials. Friday features Cheerwine Pork Burnt Ends and on weekends you’ll find a Smoked Beef Rib the size of your forearm. Sides include the standards like Slaw, Collards, Cucumber Salad, Mac and Hushpuppies and unique ones like Broccoli Casserole.Service is always good. Apps come out quickly. Entrees follow shortly thereafter and drinks are consistently filled. Parking is easy in the shopping center lot. All in all a great, consistent spot in Charlotte for Q.
I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff and seated at the bar. The bartender provided me with various options, as it was my first visit. The overall ambiance was fantastic. The brisket was tender, the burnt ends were delightful, and the hush puppies were a real treat. The cheese and jalapeño sausage was outstanding, and the stewed beans were simply exceptional. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area! Food: 5/5
We visited this local barbecue smokehouse chain with a group for dinner, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely fantastic! Our party tried the burnt ends, half a barbecue chicken, and dry rub ribs, and each dish was excellent. They offer a variety of barbecue sauces that you simply must sample! The service was also impressive—the food was served hot and presented nicely, and most importantly, it was all very flavorful. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to stop by and come hungry!
I visited this restaurant with a group of ten people after making a reservation for a Saturday evening, ensuring they could accommodate us. The parking lot was crowded, which I always consider a positive sign, but we found a spot fairly quickly. Upon arrival, we were seated without delay, and our server was outstanding (I wish I could remember her name!). Our drinks and appetizers arrived promptly, followed by our meals. Everything was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of food, so don't be misled by the prices. I tried the burnt ends, which were tasty but a bit fattier than I had anticipated. Others ordered the combo plates featuring brisket and chicken, and everyone raved about their food. If we're ever in the area again, we would definitely come back. We were in town for a wedding, and this dinner was the perfect way to end a wonderful weekend with friends.
