Finally Jim N Nick's BBQ went to Steele Creek this weekend and it was GREAT! I waited because they're always packed, but I knew the food must be good or they wouldn't be busy. I had no dessert because I was stuffed, but the server told me that they made their own cakes every day. I'll go back soon!
Although the food is great, it is too expensive for a family of 5.
The service was a little slow on the first day, but the place was full. I've been waiting for a good barbeque in Charlotte for a long time. I found some other places that worked, but I'm glad this is here. The pig is pulled pork, but you can ask that it cut or cut into slices. Back in Birmingham, BBQ is either chopped or cut, so it's nice they are able to do this also here. The ribs were also really good. It's the best replacement rib in Charlotte I found. The sauce is a vinegar and ketchup-based sauce and it was really good. Not too sweet or vinegary, but a beautiful even mix. The ribs had a large smoked taste. It came with some sauce. Fries are fresh cuts. The potato salad was great. If you have a chance, get some chocolate cake. It's fantastic. Hopefully, the service was accelerated as soon as the servers are better trained. Pricewise, they are probably comparable to other BBQ joints in the area but taste much better.
