Idlewild - Charlotte

Cannot speak highly enough about our experience here. Overheard someone talk about this spot on the street so we decided to check it out on our last night in Charlotte. we sat at the bar (which I highly recommend) and had the most personalized experience with our bartender (I unfortunately did not get his name but he alone deserves 5+ stars). Every single drink not only tasted amazing but was spot on with our descriptions of what we wanted. Our bartender was so knowledgeable and skilled. Worth every single penny. Would drive back to Charlotte for a night just to spend an evening here.

I recently had the misfortune of visiting this bar last weekend with friends and I must say, it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. From the moment we approached the entrance, we were was met with the most obnoxious and rude bouncer I 've ever encountered. He seemed to take pleasure in making patrons feel unwelcome and belittled. It 's clear that the bar Management has no regard for customer service, as they 've employed such a disrespectful individual to represent their establishment (As you can also see from their countless rude reply 's to customer reviews) Their attitudes were consistently rude and dismissive, as if they were doing customers a favor by serving them. It 's baffling to me that they think they can get away with treating customers in such a disrespectful manner. I 've been to many bars over the years, and I can confidently say that this is by far the worst service I 've ever received.I strongly advise anyone considering visiting this bar to think twice. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment of dealing with rude bouncers and staff who clearly have no understanding of basic customer service principles. There are plenty of other bars in the area that value their customers and provide a much more enjoyable experience. Also, for management go ahead and reply with a snarky response cause I got time today!As expected thank you for your abrasive and unprofessional reply Idlewild : )As stated above their rude and disrespectful management has created a toxic environment that is unbearable so please do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place as it 's not worth your time, money, or sanity, or disrespected. And speaking of a bully looks like management is the only bully on this thread.

My friends and I recently celebrated a big closing at Idlewild, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was simply fantastic. The dim lighting with actual candles added a touch of elegance, making the place even more appealing after dark.The cocktail selection was top-notch, and our server, Eric, was exceptional. He provided us with personalized recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes, ensuring we had the best time possible. Eric’s attention to detail and warm demeanor truly elevated the evening.Idlewild is undoubtedly an upscale cocktail bar that exceeds expectations. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a delightful night out, this place has it all. Love the focus on tailor made cocktails here. The bartenders listen to what you like and produce awesome things for you to try. One of my favorite places to enjoy cocktails in Charlotte. Wish it was easier to get into, but it is busy for good reason.

Very cool spot. They had no menu so you get a really unique experience here. Top tier bartenders that you explain the types of drinks you like. They can either make known drinks or give them a few things you like and they will whip something up. This is a fun experience and the drinks are great. This is a very small and intimate bar so prepare accordingly. We were lucky enough to be able to walk right in.
