Fujiyama - Charlotte

Affordable and straightforward. This cozy little spot located in Latta Arcade in downtown Charlotte allows you to order at the counter and cook your food in a compact kitchen. It feels just as small as my own kitchen at home. The staff is friendly, and you definitely get a good portion for the price. I tried the chicken and beef combo, which had a decent flavor. However, the salad is served in the same box as your Teriyaki dish, and the dressing could use a bit more kick. It's a budget-friendly option and offers a complete meal. While it's probably not suitable for a business lunch since they don’t have tables, it’s a great choice if you're craving some Japanese food in a pinch.

I ordered takeout from Fujiyama today, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I opted for the teriyaki vegetables, which included grilled veggies, white rice, and a side salad with their delicious house dressing. It was quite good, and it's one of the few restaurants still open in Latta Arcade.

This is the best place in Charlotte for traditional Japanese food hands down. The Katsudon is amazing and for the cost there is no place in Charlotte that can beat them. I really wish they stayed open longer than lunch, I could see them killing it with the dinner/late night crowds. It's the only reason stopping me from eating there every other day!

I decided to take a chance on this place after Chipotle was packed, and I’m so glad I did. It’s an exceptionally great spot. The customer service was outstanding, and the menu was easy to navigate. The food was absolutely delicious—I ordered the chicken bibimbap without carrots. I would definitely come back!
