I saw a review from a local blog about the Top 10 Best Brunch Places in Charlotte and decided to go with a friend. Upon arrival, we were the first guest of the day and were greeted by a very friendly staff. We ordered cocktails which were great them both ordered different menu items so we could try it all. The food was great and made to order but even with it only being us it did take a little long. The price was gre... View all feedback.
What Orin Medhurst doesn't like about Corkbuzz Restaurant & Wine Bar - Charlotte:
my judgment is still on corkbuzz. our reservation was for a Saturday evening in the restaurant week. that said, maybe they were extremely busy. we sat in the bar, which was good until the evening, when a large group of 14 sat next to us, constantly pulled chairs on a table that would have sat ~10. They had a great time and were quite energetic, but it was my quiet dining experience. the service was good, some memorie... View all feedback.
We dined at the restaurant during Queen's Feast in January 2018. The cheese dumpling appetizer was good but needed a crispy element, such as a crispy wobble ring or finishing salt. We solved this issue with the crispy rice appetizer. The corvina sea bass entree was tasty and well-flavored, while the grass-fed flank steak was phenomenal with smoked Cheddar, roasted fennel, and red wine. The Apfel-Kbbler dessert was common, but we really enjoyed the chocolate torte with candied walnuts. We were disappointed that profiteroles were not available as part of the Queen's Feast menu. Our server recommended the Cosentino Winery 2015 Cabernet Franc, which was phenomenal for fans of Cabernet Franc. We recommend Corkbuzz!

They had a great time and were quite energetic, but it was my quiet dining experience. the service was good, some memories of needed items, but very pleasant and knowledgeable. everything except my main course was fantastic. if they want to go and they are looking for a quiet dining experience, ask to sit in the main dining area. Otherwise, the bar session (high-top tables) is perfect for a more casual environment.
I feel honestly that the menu change has made the food go downhill. why change a good thing? the seabass and the burgers were once staples and are nothing to be desired. service and atmosphere were in order, but I'm not sure I'm back rushing due to the menu change .
That was delicious. the server was friendly to find out our register card while we treated 2 birthday friends and we wanted to treat them. overall we had a great experience!
Eaten at Corkbuzz several times but hadn’t been there in four or five months. They’ve change the menu around a little bit and it is fantastic.
