This is a fantastic spot for a late-night meal. The staff is very welcoming and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is more open and spacious compared to typical Chili's restaurants, with a slight techno vibe, especially at the bar where I prefer to dine. They have a great selection of drinks as well. I highly suggest giving them a shot! View all feedback.
What Rowland DuBuque doesn't like about Chili's Grill:
Oh my god, stay away from this awful place. The walls in the dining area were filthy, the napkins smelled musty, my mother's Mexican rice looked like it had been cooked in Mexico and transported a month later, and my cheeseburger tasted like it was 90% salt and 10% sawdust. Chili is usually one of my favorite dishes but this was a huge disappointment. Avoid at all costs! View all feedback.
Met friends for a casual lunch. Started with drinks an appetizer. When meals were ordered, one of our foursome ordered her lunch plus a take-out order. I was dismayed when her takeout order arrived before our lunches, and it was not prepared to-go. She told the server it was to be to-go, so it went back to the kitchen. When it came back, in a clear to-go box, half of the meal was missing! The fries and corn which had been part of the meal the first time it came out was gone. Then the server told her those don 't come with an appetizer--apparently it somehow morphed from being a lunch special (as it was initially prepared into an appetizer. Then my friend had to explain that she had not ordered an appetizer. When the server still said these don 't come with it, my friend asked for a menu to show her what was included on the lunch special. Later, she got the fries.I don 't know what happened to the corn. Our lunches never arrived 'til after the take-out order. What restaurant does that???We were calm during all of that. Then came time to pay. Our checks were never brought, so one of the group asked for them. The server said You pay on that and pointed to a credit card processor (or not! Keep reading . She said they don 't take payments. One in our group asked What if I want to pay cash? Then the server said she 'd take her payment. For the rest of us, we took our turns on the machine that I had thought was an online menu. One in the group had an incorrect bill. The manager came to help with that but didn 't seem at all concerned that their customer was overcharged. Then it was my turn. My payment did not go through, and the processor gave me a message saying it did not go through because someone was adding an item to our (cumulative? bill. I assumed it was the manager who was trying to fix the errors on my friend 's bill. It also said I 'd have to re-do the payment and that I might see a posting on my credit card account from my initial payment. I certainly didn 't want a double payment, so I said to the manager I did not want to pay using his card processor because it had indicated to me I might see a posting from the initial attempt. He said they do not accept payments other than through their processor. I replied (not heatedly that if that is so, it should be made clear to customers upon arrival. He looked at me but made no apology or even acknowledgement of what I 'd said. He merely took my credit card to see what he could do . Then he passed our table a couple of times with no follow-up and of course, he still had my card. When he came back, he said I 'd have to pay through the processor or else use cash. Fortunately I had cash for if I had not, I would have been an even more unhappy customer than I was. Neither the wait staff nor this manager seemed even slightly concerned at all the missteps and errors in how they handled our orders and payments. People reading this will probably think, Poor Chili 's; they probably don 't have enough staff. That 's not it. They had plenty of staff for the small number of tables occupied with customers. I like Chili 's, but this one is off my list.
Met with 3 friends at 1 PM on Tuesday. They were already seated in back. There was no greeter up front and entire section to the right was blocked off, so I just walked in and wandered back until I found my party. Server came and took drink orders. Drinks came out in reasonable amount of time, but then server disappeared for a good while. She finally came back well after we were ready to order. My order was chipotle chicken bowl for me and a to-go order of wings with side of fries. Both were from the lunch menu and were supposed to be $9.99 each. I also ordered an OMB Copper ale . My friends also placed their orders. The very first food to come to the table was the wings and fries with an ear of corn ? on a plate. Uh, no, that was to be a to go order. They take plate away and come back in a few minutes with just the wings in a to-go box. Where 's the fries? Server tells me the wings are apps, they don 't come with fries. I told her I didn 't order an app, I ordered off the lunch menu. She repeated wings don 't come with fries. I asked her to bring me a menu, please. I showed her the lunch menu and where the two items I ordered were side by side under Lunch . She said Oh. Well, those come with starters, too. I hadn 't asked for a starter on either lunch, so asked her to add chili as the starter. She left. She came back a while later with the fries in a separate to go box. The rest of our meals came and were without incident until it came time to pay. We waited and waited, our server never came with a check. When we finally we able to get her, she showed us the electronic keypad on table. All 4 of us had just thought it was something with specials on it. First guy at the table pays for his, no problem. Gives it to me. My bill was incorrect; I was being charged for 2 chipotle chicken bowls, the full dinner price of $11.99 for the wings, fries, and corn which they took away and $1 for the chili which was never served. After a few more tries, the manger finally gave me a corrected bill. Then came the 3rd person in my party. She tried to pay through the table keypad, it froze. It took more difficulty to get the manager to fix the issue. He had told us the table keypad was the only way to pay, there were no other options. The system kept freezing, she ended up paying cash. The last straw was that as we were leaving, the first man in our party that had paid was stopped by an employee and told he hadn 't paid, that his check was still outstanding. After discussion, they checked the last 4 numbers of his credit card and saw that it had processed though. They just hadn 't cleared it out of their system. So, let 's recap... ?No greeter, slow service, mutiple errors in food orders, more errors in billing, less than helpful attitude from server and manager when trying to correct said errors, and being insulted on the way out the door by being accused of dine and dash when bill had been paid in full. ? Sad altogether.
I ordered two meals and they were delicious. The service was excellent. I would rate the food as 5 out of 5.

The To-Go service at this restaurant is extremely disappointing. The food portions are consistently smaller than when dining in, and they frequently get orders wrong, often forgetting to include the correct sides, dips, or sauces with the meals. I would recommend avoiding this place and trying one of the other options available. This has happened to us at least 5 times in the past 6 months.
