The food was absolutely excellent! My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday, and we ordered four dishes along with a dessert, all of which were delicious. Our favorite was the lavender chicken. The atmosphere was relaxed, and it wasn't too crowded. I definitely recommend it! View all feedback.
What Lenna Bergnaum doesn't like about Bistro La Bon:
Not what I was expecting. I've visisted for brunch many times and it is always delicious. This was my first time having dinner and it left much to be desired. Both my friend and I ordered steak, both of which were extremely overcooked. It was served over risotto which was quite undercooked and border line crunchy. We finished our glasses of wine and had to wait for quite a while to ask for water and another glass of... View all feedback.
Bistro La Bon is a true gem!The air, ambiance, and seating is wonderful. Chic and elegant, rustic and contemporary. It just feels really nice—dressed up or down! The waitstaff is warm and their energy is comfy. Allie is a wonderful bartender who can craft crisp cocktails! The food is delicious! I’ve been on 2 occasions (both during brunch hours) and thoroughly enjoyed my meals. On Sunday, there is a brunch buffet. Sweet and or savory…but I say, choose a little of both!Bistro La Bon has some of the best French toast! For Saturday brunch I enjoyed the Italian Panini, and Belgian waffles. Both were large portions and well worth the cost! The panini is beautifully layered and the bread has a perfect crunch. The waffles were good and plenty. For Sunday brunch I tried a number of items. The buffet is diverse, offering items including fresh fruit, brisket, pasta salad, cheesy grits, and other pairings like mozzarella, tomato and cucumbers. My absolute favorites were the pasta salad, the brisket (it literally MELTS on contact), the shrimp and grits and the fruit. The strawberry limoncello is tasty and cute! The manager Anthony is a delight! His hospitality will made me come back for sure.If you’re seeing this, it is your sign to try Bistro La Bon. Maybe I’ll see you at dinner ?
Not what I was expecting. I've visisted for brunch many times and it is always delicious. This was my first time having dinner and it left much to be desired. Both my friend and I ordered steak, both of which were extremely overcooked. It was served over risotto which was quite undercooked and border line crunchy. We finished our glasses of wine and had to wait for quite a while to ask for water and another glass of wine and also another set of utensils since the first set was taken away after our appetizers. I will stick to brunch only from now on.
Excellent meal! Steak was cooked perfectly, beautiful presentation and flavors were perfectly balanced.
We ate at the restaurant for restaurant week. The menu was excellent, very well prepared and a great value.Waitstaff was of very high caliber and handled the busy dining room easily. I was particularly impressed with the kitchen, when is the height of the meal they were able to adjust to a guest asking for something to be omitted from the entre and they got it right.Very noisy, but all great experience. We will be back.
We went during Restaurant Week on Monday night. We were seated right away and they were very gracious about changing our table upon request. Food was excellent. Only quibble was noise level but I don’t know if restaurant can do much about that. For a Restaurant Week dinner I would say it was well worth the price.
