Got to visit last night during Queen's feast for the first time. We had a wonderful overall experience and definitely would come back. The Filet's and Lamb shank were fantastic, and definitely recommend the Duck confit spring rolls. The strawberry shortcake was delicious and a perfect finisher, and the creme brulee was also very good. Only small hiccup was the pork belly appetizer was overcooked and tough, but that w... If you have a chance to go don't miss out! This is one of my favorite fine dining experiences in Charlotte! I love this place! Some may say service is a lil bit slow but it is well worth the wait. The place is super clean super cozy service is good and staff try so hard to keep everyone happy even when they're stretched thin. I've tried a little bit of everything over the years and it's ALL AMAZING! On our last visit we got drinks while waiting for them to prep our table. Then got a few appetizers and ended up sharing some main dishes so we would have room for dessert as well. We ended up trying the escargot, goat cheese, foie gras, duck, emu, kangaroo, surf turf. We got both cobblers and the creme brulee, as well as a great recommendation for a bottle of wine that paired well with all our dishes. Everything was amazing! Overall this was a great experience and can't wait to go back again. Hoping they bring back the marrow soon.

Very friendly staff and excellent dining experience. I used to work uptown and Bernardin's was my favorite restaurant to eat at during lunch. There isn't anything that I haven't tried on the menu that I wasn't disappointed with. If I could pick my favorite dishes it would definitely be the stir fry with salmon or the Cajun chicken sandwich and fries. This place is definitely missed!
Don't be alarmed if you get a table in the nook with the plate glass windows facing S. Tyron Street. You'll still be treated exceptionally well by the very friendly staff and enjoy a reasonably quick delivery of your meal. However, would have appreciated one or two more visits to top off my water as the food was a bit on the heavily seasoned side...specifically of the salty variety. All the same, top marks for flavor, texture, and again, delivery. Not much else to offer as my table was less then a dozen feet from the entry and the rest of the venue seemed to be in another part of the building. Odd layout; good food; great service.
