Close to bright city church this place is awesome for a quick bite and some study time . Wonderful shop with seating in the back. The entry makes it seem like there isn’t much space but don’t be afraid to head back and check out the space. Recommend the matcha latte, blueberry Gouda bagel toasted and blueberry short bread/cofeee cake View all feedback.
On our way out of Charleston, our group stopped in for breakfast. I got the avocado toast and my husband got the quiche. I really enjoyed my dish. The peanuts and spicy sauce made it feel a little extra. I also got a cold brew and it was delicious. My husband didn’t like his dish as much. He said it was a little bland and the salad that came with it was dry. Overall I loved the atmosphere and it was a good place to stop on our way out.
Though the flavour is good, I found the cakes to be on the dry side. I also wonder why they are fridge cold at 8 o’clock in the morning…
We love Harbinger. The coffee is great but the pastries are TO DIE FOR. The Spice girl is one of my favorite pastries in Charleston. It’s a small place so it can get kind of busy, but we have always been able to find a spot when we visit. Would highly recommend to anyone!!

This is one of the best cafes i have been to in charleston! We got there right when it opened and everything was made fresh! I loved all the bakery options, from your basic chocolate chip cookie to treats with all sorts of different things in it! The coffee was also really great and so was the breakfast sandwich i had. If it wouldn’t have had the sauce that was on it, it would’ve been bad. But that sauce, oh my god it was glorious ? I can’t wait to come back and try all of the other different bakery items and things on the menu!
