What User doesn't like about Nawab:
I’m changing my 4-star rating. The server informed me that the naan bread was vegan, but I didn’t find that to be the case. It seems there's a lack of knowledge about vegan options, and it came across as rather careless. View all feedback.
I retract my 4 star review. Server told me their naan bread was vegan and I just found out it isn't. Poor knowledge on veganism and clearly lazy.
While the food is fantastic, the interior of the restaurant leaves something to be desired. I was puzzled by the number of people arriving for takeout, given the lack of a dining area. The dining room seems to struggle with its identity; it's part upscale restaurant, complete with cloth napkins, tablecloths, elegant wine glasses, and a beautiful chandelier, yet it also has the vibe of a Hooters or sports bar. The scent of strong cleaning products lingers in the air, and the carpets are marked with various stains. If they could remove the TV and replace the flooring with tiles or wood, this place could be stunning. It wouldn't take much to elevate the atmosphere. Note that, although their sign says they’re open late, they typically close at 8:45 PM. Overall, just focus on enjoying the delicious food!
The waitstaff is very friendly, always ready to compliment you, even if you’re just in a baggy sweatshirt, enjoying your naan. The food is definitely great, but the atmosphere inside is a bit puzzling. I wondered why so many people were passing through but no one was dining in the main area. The dining room seems unsure of its identity; it’s a mix of an upscale restaurant with cloth napkins, elegant table settings, and stunning wine glasses, combined with a casual sports bar vibe. The strong scent of cleaning products lingers in the air, and the carpets are covered in a constellation of stains. If they could remove the televisions and replace the flooring with something more stylish, this place could be truly beautiful. It wouldn’t take much to enhance the ambiance! Also, be aware that they start closing up around 8:45 PM, even though the sign says they’re open. Just smile, enjoy the delightful food, and you’ll have a great experience!
The restaurant offers a separate vegetarian menu that includes vegan options. I absolutely love the chana masala, baingan bharta, sweets, and sweet samosas! You can request roti without butter, which is great. Overall, the food is really good! There's also another location in Huntington.
