Laurel - Charleston

That was delicious. the only disappointment was that the steak was overcooked. we have rarely asked for medium and it came out well. except that it was a great night.

Everything was great! our waitress was super nice and helpful! eating was tasty – above all the nuts and the otopus! loved the building, the lights, wall paintings, etc. and we could go to laurel. Thank you!

We had a confirmed reservation but were not able to be seated until an hour later, and even then it was a smaller table than designed for our group size. Cocktails and wine selections were great. Food was hit and miss. Bread, Mushrooms, Brussels and whole fish were amazing. Beets and cheesecake were good. Arroz was not too crunchy and an odd flavor mixed in. Noise level is high. Atmosphere is vibrant. Restaurant is attractive. Wait and bar staff were doing their best and were pleasant, but it was slow and disjointed at times. Overall I would not choose this as a top favorite, but I also wouldn't be opposed to a second visit if the opportunity arose.

Wonderful spot with mostly locals. Good size room, well decorated, well spaced, and comfortable seating. Service was excellent, while as in many restaurants right now, delivery shortages meant a few things were not available. A tapas and a small plates menu, while the serving sizes were extremely generous. The octopus was super tender and very well seasoned. Lamb meatball and croquettes rounded out the meal. We were going to order the fresh catch, but had enough with the tapas. Excellent spot, good crowd, nice people.

We had another great meal at Laurel and look forward to returning.
