Stopped in on Sunday night near closing time for drinks and dessert. The drinks were great, the rum cake was pretty good and the service was good (even though it was near closing time). We would definitely return if in the area again. View all feedback.
We chose this restaurant for dinner since it was conveniently located near us, especially with the storms rolling in. We ordered the cocktail flight, and I found each one to be delightful in its own way, even though I'm not usually a fan of rum. We also shared a sampler dish with various foods, and everything was delicious! The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful. I'm really glad we decided to eat here!
This place is absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere and decor are stunning, and the food speaks for itself in the attached photos. All the dishes are prepared by Chef Paul Yellin, whom we were fortunate enough to meet, and he is a wonderful host. I highly recommend trying the Moscow Mule with its homemade ginger beer—you won't regret it!
The Happy Hour Menu offers an incredible deal, featuring both drinks and food at affordable prices. We enjoyed it so much that we came back two days in a row. The rum selection is unmatched, and the talented bar staff really know their craft. The house-made ginger beer is the foundation for many drinks, including a standout Dark 'n' Stormy. There’s plenty of seating available during Happy Hour, and unlike some other places on the street, you're not required to sit at the bar—you can choose a table if that’s your preference. The marinated fried pig, Ruck Chicken, empanadas, and mahi bites were all excellent. We'll make it a point to return on our future visits to Charleston to support gems like this. Definitely give it a try!
Best bar in Charleston!! Bartenders were incredible and friendly people. Good recommendations for drinks and rum. And my bartender made me some special conventions until we found the one I loved. Next time I'm in town.
Excellent! Only visited once (so far) with my Mother and would definitely go again! The decor is vibrant and whimsical, the music is island vibe and the food and drinks are reasonable (we were there during happy hour (4pm to 7pm) and the happy hour menu is very reasonable (no more than $6 or $7 per item). Food is very well flavored, good portions and bar drinks are yummy (not weak). Friendly staff as well. Great place in one of the coolest parts of Charleston. Go!
