What MichaelM doesn't like about Bennett Special Events:
It was very underwhelming compared to other hotel Bennett events that we’ve attended. It was maybe a step above a normal Hilton or Marriott buffet… The service was awful within 10 minutes of being there they brought us our drinks and immediately gave us the check with a 22% service charge. The Thanksgiving Brunch was fantastic, and our waiter and the staff were incredibly attentive! I'm already looking forward to the next event!
We had a last minute change of plans on Thanksgiving and this brunch saved the day! Food was great, kids had fun, and staff across the entire hotel was extremely accommodating!
Extremely expensive for what we got. 24% service charge for a buffet is ridiculous. The food was good however some items were not replenished and depending on when you had your reservation you didn’t get the full buffet of options. For the amount charged per person it was a huge disappointment. For what we paid for just two people for this buffet we had a wonderful dinner for 5 people at SNOB with drinks and dessert. Will not be a repeat.
This was our second Mother's Day brunch at Hotel Bennett, and frankly it just feels over-priced. The hostess was nowhere to be found when we arrived. After about 10 minutes she came to a crowded station and just seemed mad. The service isn't great. It's a buffet so we just needed our plates cleared and that seemed to take a while. For $125 a person I don't think we will go back next year.
It was a fun concept, but I found the quantity and variety of food to be lacking for the price. The event was charming, but I wouldn't choose to attend again.
