What Kerry S doesn't like about Al Di La:
We were expecting a bit more, with the beautiful decor and handmade pasta . Our server, which I don 't know if she was an actual server or not, was not properly trained, though sweet. The food was ehh, the Cacio e Pepe was horrendous. There was 0 management present, unless they were also serving as they are understaffed. View all feedback.
My partner and I took my grandparents out for a Valentine's Day dinner, and we all had a fantastic time! We each ordered different meals and shared a few appetizers, and none of us were disappointed with our choices. For dessert, we tried the cannoli, which was the perfect finish to our meal! The atmosphere was cozy and quiet, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy each other's company.
So many memories brought back to small places in brooklyn where I grew up. our eating was a great part, well seasoned, delicious and comforting, as we were looking for italian, it was not disappointed plus I felt in the lower level salon floor in a brown stone in the heights. All right, we'd go back!

On Saturday evening, we placed an order for four people. While the menu was presented, we found that there were sufficient options to choose from. The chicken parmesan with noodles was good, but the ricotta gnocchi with noodles and basil was rather unremarkable. The side of meatballs was too spicy for the older adults who had ordered them. We requested to speak with the server, but unfortunately, there was no one available. I understand that there seems to be a lack of experienced staff, which is likely a result of our own choices. The wait time for our food was about an hour, and overall, the meal was nothing special.
The cacio e pepe was more like an Alfredo dish—it really wasn’t authentic and was overwhelmed with sauce. As a pasta enthusiast, I barely managed to eat half of it. My mom ordered the bolognese, and it was surprisingly good; it had a nice kick of spice to it, which we enjoyed. However, the menu didn’t mention the heat, so be cautious if you’re not a fan of spicy food.
