Sam's Uptown Cafe - Charleston

I didn't try to taste the food I was here to see my favorite local band performance. BYZANTINE. Very small place on the upper floor where the stage is located and the bands play. Very cramped, full and hot. The opening band Pottera does not really joke the name of the opening band, had crowned everything up to 11, but not in a good way. Feedback and squils had ringed my head and ears pained so badly that we left and could not even see the band we visited. However, the bar was dirty down and dingy and the toilets were absolutely terrible.

Cool atmosphere to hang up, take a drink and bite to eat. You also have a jukebox. Perfect place to hang up after a concert. They're late.

Couldn't be happier with this place! Smile Empty Soul was amazed at the kindness of the staff, including bartender Brian aka Hendo. Drinks were on the spot and when we ordered food... Well, that did it!!! I would give this place a 50-star rating if I could. Best Moz Sticks,bbq Stations and Rings I had in a very long time....if ever!

Here stopped while driving around on a road. Food is very average, but prices are very reasonable. Would recommend those looking for solid food and a decent atmosphere.

The sign says Sam?s sports bar now. It?s a small dive bar but the food was absolutely amazing and affordable. I got the prime rib sandwich and I?ve never had one so flavorful and fresh fries with savory au jus sauce. My husband got the southwest burger and it was high quality, flavorful with a bite. Only suggestion is to ask for more house sauce. Thick burger, very crispy and fresh tasting bacon. Would recommend to any one.
