What Reva Moates doesn't like about The Pompeii Oven Pizzeria:
The service at this restaurant was lacking but the waitresses were very pleasant. The food was not very flavorful either. Nevertheless, we did enjoy spending time with our family. View all feedback.
I had a truly unique dining experience at this restaurant in the southern heartland. Coming from the northeast, I have high standards when it comes to pizza. The Pompeii oven exceeded my expectations. The food was extraordinary and the menu offered a delicious twist on the usual fare. I never imagined I would enjoy blueberries on a pizza, but here I found every bite to be a sweet surprise, especially when paired with speck. The staff was friendly and attentive despite being busy. The only downside was the wait for our food, but it was well worth it in the end.
I love the local and unique menu at this restaurant. The brunch pizzas are delicious, especially the eier benedict. I also highly recommend the pancetta pizza. The owners are great and I am so happy to have this hidden gem in Chapin. Let's support their local business!
The only issue I encountered was that the restaurant was not very busy, as it was just my friend and I, and we hardly saw our waitress. We ordered a beer and noticed them sitting at the bar for five minutes before we had to approach them. We had to make an effort to locate our server throughout most of our meal in order to request additional napkins, more water, a takeout box, and the check. However, the food was very delicious and delightfully unique. I would recommend serving fresh Pita bread or fresh chips with the spinach and artichoke dip instead of store-bought tortilla chips. Despite this, the dish was still tasty!
That was my first time here. it was amazing. I tried three different pizzas and all were incredible. the salmon and the lita were my favorites. I can't expect to come back. it is a great place for friends to gather for good eating, drinks and stipendium.
I really enjoyed the brunch at this restaurant. It's disappointing that it will be closing soon. My mother and sister are regulars here and they are both upset that they won't be able to come anymore.
