Great margaritas a... read more Can't recommend it enough. Crazy, but real authentic Mexican food is kind of rare in the Lake Chapala area but Mario's totally hits the mark. Great margaritas and the food, so much flavor! The three of us were very pleased with each of our dishes. We shared bites with each other and ALL were very good. This is a family run restaurant, and you will feel hospitality from beginning to end. Prices were great. We will for sure be returning! Thank you Jaime and family.

We went there yesterday for breakfast, which was not only the best breakfast we've had since living here for three years, but the best breakfast out that I've ever had anywhere. We were so pleased with the food, and Jaime's personable disposition and willingness to explain menu items and provide pointers, that we decided to return today for lunch. Again, it was incredible! The grilled shrimp were exquisite in their flavour, and we couldn't believe the quantity of shrimp provided. Everything included with the meal was delicious, and once again we were treated to courteous service, and visits to our table from Jaime, as well as the cook who prepared the shrimp on the grill out in front of the restaurant. This is the first time we've ever been so pleased with a breakfast that we returned the following day for lunch and there was not one even slightly disappointing thing with either visit. This is a family run restaurant, and it was a real pleasure to sit in the back patio area today, just off the kitchen, and see the interaction of the family members, included several adorable and well behaved children. We will definitely be regulars there, and look forward to out next visit. Oh, the prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity of the food you get.
