What Mike Dociu doesn't like about Bakersfield East Blvd.:
Great service and beautiful location but the food is mediocre. The $4 tacos are mini tacos that can fit in the palm of your hand. The tacos had a small portion of protein. The food overall lacked authentic mexican flavor and was very disappointing due to the cost. The Bakersfield Pineapple Margarita and salsa trio was the best thing on the menu. The food is good and the service is hit or miss, but the pineapple margs are always amazing!!
I love coming to Bakersfield. I have been coming here since they have opened and the food and atmosphere are always consistint. I love that they finally added new menu items (Though I was heartbroken that my loaded queso did not make the cut...bring it back Pleaseeeeeee I will say I have had the Chile Relleno twice and they both came out luke warm, but I know it's new and I am hoping they can fix that because otherwise its delicious! It's great to come with your family or enjoy dinner and drinks at the bar. I have been getting Luis as my bartended lately and he has been a pleasure! As somebody who comes here a lot he still finds a way to get me to try new drink combos or food items I never considered. He keeps us very entertained at the bar and I love his positive personality. Literally keeps us coming back for taco Tuesdays. Excited to try the rest of the new menu! Oh, did I mention how much I love that we can use the Inkind app?!?! Game changer!
Luis is AMAZING! Such a friendly, warm, thoughtful person. Tacos and drinks were great. Queso, five stars.
Great food! Drink were pretty strong just the way we like them on girls night out!!! Overall amazing experience! Our waitress was so attentive had a mission to make sure we had a great experience! Love that!
Our food took 25 minutes to come out, pretty sure it’s sat in the “window” for quite a while as it was cold when it made it to the table. I’m born and raised in the south; worst glass of sweet tea ever. Server was not good, bland personality…unapologetic. We were offered re prep but they way I see it; if you can’t get it right the first time you won’t get it right the second time. I have been here many time but this was my last….very poor
