Halal Kitchen - Chantilly
Halal Kitchen
Description
Halal Kitchen Food Truck offers an adventurous, Desi-leaning menu—gyros, lamb curry, halwa puri, mango lassi and Kashmiri tea—served affordably and quickly from a reliably parked truck in South Riding. Portions are generous, sauces bold (red is very spicy), and service is friendly and family-oriented. A small outdoor seating area adds comfort, though some weekend-only items and intermittent hours mean checking availability before you go.

I just ordered food from here, and the menu is quite extensive. They offer items that are usually hard to find. It's the perfect spot for a Desi brunch. I'll share more details later!
On December 8, 2018, I decided to try a food truck, which turned out to be the only one in the area. The owner handed me a menu and kindly answered all my questions. After placing my order, I waited in my car, and he let me know when the food was ready. I paid and took the delicious meal home. The food was excellent, and the owner was very friendly. I highly recommend this place!
Update of Feb 2020 I am sad to report that Halal Kitchen Food Truck seems to have disappeared, and food services have stopped at this particular place. Let's see if this will change in the future. Original review Started Pickup very affordable Gyro meals from this food truck a month ago. Super practical for those in the Dulles South South Riding area. The Halal Meat Combs are just right and what we buy if we do not add how to pay for seats and on top drinks such as a brick mortar restaurant. OH Lamb Curry article is homecookin ' good (sorta expensive, but good and not available anywhere I know). For those who like spicy, do the red sauce....it is really spicy good. And the people who run the truck are very nice. Halal yes, delicious yes, fast yes, comfortable yes, location yes, price good.... 5 stars. Last product, sounds strange, but this food truck is always there, doesn't move much, so it's great that I don't have to hunt these gyros over half the county.
Highly recommend! Their food and customer service are simply awesome. Nice siting area. Great food, Gyro, fries, mango Lassi, etc. This is my 2nd visit at this place, which is 50 minutes drive from my place (Old Town Alexandria, VA). If I am around this area then this place will be my 1st choice. During my last visit I asked them if they have vinegar to spread on my fries, they don't have vinegar, so owner offered me if I want to use lemon instead and he gave me half of a lemon. Happy customer!
I visited this restaurant for the first time based on my colleagues' recommendation. Haseeb ordered the meat lover combo for us, claiming it was the most popular item on the menu, and I can see why! It was incredibly flavorful and unique. The meat was perfectly seasoned, and the white sauce was simply delicious. Since it was our first visit, the owner generously offered me a complimentary ice cream, which I thought was a lovely gesture. I will definitely return for more. The portions were generous, leaving us completely satisfied. I'm looking forward to trying other Indian dishes, like the Hawla puri, this weekend!
