This is a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy a meal by the sea. I highly recommend trying a unique bottle of wine from Anatolikos Weinberg, which is fermented and aged unfiltered with indigenous yeasts. The wine, called "orange" due to its color, offers notes of apricot, honey, pineapple, and orange peel. While the food may not stand out as much, the service is excellent. With all the positive reviews this place had expectations was semi high. The food was okay and staff was nice. Not very many traditional Greek dishes and a bit pricey we shared two dip collections and a Greek salad as appetizers, and two medium grilled meat mix which was more than enough to leave the table with full stomachs. We were told that there was fries included in meat mix which was correct but ~10 fries isn'... View all feedback.
Kyano is a beautiful restaurant on the beach in platanias. even better in the evening or in the early evening such a beautiful little place. After working for 20 years in the hospitality, a thing I love to be recognized and remembered by the staff, fantastic customer service is a thing that I love. the food and cocktails are also delicious and very reasonable. could not fail to fail and definitiw worth visiting if they are in the opposite.
Great service, tasty seafood and amazing value for money! It was so good we came back again two days later. Thank you Kyano!
We ate here 4 years ago when we stayed in Platanias, and came back this year again even if we stayed in another city, just for the great experience we had the firts time! For me personally its like a slice of paradise! Everything just fits together, the table, chairs and umbrellas, the grass, the sand, the sea, the view, the staff! Eating the delicious food, enjoying the amazing view, while being served by the friendly staff is an experience you just don't want to give up!

It is the only place where we haven’t got free watermelon or dessert and raki at the end, which is a tradition in Crete. So I guess it can happen. Prices are above average, place is usually full, the food is okay. No complaints over that. But it definitely doesn’t stand out among all the good Greek restaurants. And as I said I will remember the place like the only one (among 30+ we visited) restaurant with no treat at the end.
