The fact that this place will turn away someone who first of all is willing to pay the expensive $20 cover fee just bc they have proudly served their country is absolutely ridiculous.

However, I feel like combs are kept on a standard that does not try to reach. I went through four years undergrad at UIUC and visited Kam’s during my time as a student. I love it! Not all students will love it, and that's okay. I think it is important to manage the expectations of Kams. I mentioned the majority of negative reviews on this page, and I believe that it is possible that others come here with a product and get another. I feel that their disappointment is similar when you expect to eat a steakhouse and then a big Mac was served. This is said to be what to expect and not to expect while at Kam’s. EXPECT to pay coverage every time of the day $5 standard, $10 peak, $20 special events or weekends) EXPECT the floor to be wet, this is due to the popularity of "Icing Out" on campus) EXPECT long lines EXPECT workers to be crank. This is all) NOT EXPECT clean bathroom came is what you make of it. Do not come with high standards. This is a college party bar through and through.
