Eating was excellent and exciting. we had four courses and they were all delicious. at the beginning we served a taste plate of very delicious Portuguese specialties (fish, meat and vegetables croquets.) we especially enjoyed the grilled oysters, which followed by cooked with a rag... sauce, cooked with bread crumbs and served with a lemon cook. since most restaurants serve only oysters uncooked, this made a beautiful change. for our head, my man chose a steak court and I had pigs both were well cooked, seasoned and presented, with salat and pommes as our sides. our desserts, a tart tatin with ananas and saw and a tiramasu were delicious. the personal was attentive, pleasant and inconspicuous. our thanks go to the chef and the staff to so delight our evening for our special occasion. we will certainly visit again to try other dishes. they are 7/7 open for lunch and dinner, which is an additional bonus.
Business dinner with an old partner. Kitch Square, that should be a Portuguese restaurant, but is in fact not. some ripe French rindsacks wait or they. nothing special. 75 to 80€/Kg. forget it. we were visited after 10 minutes. chose the algarve style...bacalhau only poor, nothing exciting, burned up. weeping card is also very bad. my colleague had an angus picanha (rump cap.) just terrible. thin display hard. as already said to avoid stick on the 13 € menu and leave the card away.
True to the name, le Portifino has seaside ambiance and quality ingredients used in all preparations. Lots of fish, oysters and crustacean dishes & we observed them to be quite popular - lots of fruit de mar plates. Also nice meat dishes and meats on skewer. We enjoyed the food in this modern styled restaurant. ...
Having enjoyed the very fresh and great quality of the seafood platter last time we decided a retour would be good.Again, freindly, quick and efficient service. We chose a dozen Nr.2 oysters - super fresh and well prepared, followed by the Cassoulet de Saint Jacques (very tasty and plenty of St Jacques) and the dry aged steak - very hard to find beef aged long enough in France and very, very delicious. This is a family run restaurant for families, it's does not pretend to be posh but it does do what it says on the box - Excellent quality ingrediants, fresh, well prepared and served quickly by freindly staff.
