Reviews - Fudo
Reviews summary
Tucked into a busy shopping-center spot, this Brookhaven sushi destination wins diners with an enormous, inventive roll selection, strong cocktails and generous portions. Appetizers and desserts stand out, service is notably attentive—constant water refills and quick plates—and prices feel reasonable. Expect dim lighting, a buzzy crowd, occasional waits and some tight seating when busy. Flavors are creative though a few rolls can be inconsistent; plentiful vegetarian choices and nearby free parking make it an easy repeat for groups and sushi fans.

The sushi rolls are reasonably priced, and there is an extensive variety of options to choose from. If you tend to feel overwhelmed, it’s a good idea to check out the menu beforehand. There are also plenty of vegetarian options for those who prefer not to eat fish. The restaurant is clean, and the portion sizes are quite generous! I would definitely go back! View all feedback.
What Rosa D dislikes about Fudo:
The best thing about this place are the water boys. They literally refilled my water after every few sips. That is impressive. The jalapeño small plate wasn’t spicy at all. The hot nights was recommended to me but I don’t like raw sushi and I stated that but the waitress insisted that it was good. It was not. I was turned off from any food at that point. The drinks were ok. Probably won’t be back. Follow my Instagram... View all feedback.

Fudo is really an underrated spot. The sticky toffee cake is my favorite. The sushi have a wide range and I always have to get the beef rolls. The service is amazing. I highly recommend making a reservation after a certain time they do get crowded
Great sushi! Went on a Saturday afternoon and there was about a 35 minute wait. Lychee martini is a must any time i go for sushi and theirs is hot tier. The appetizer i chose their spring rolls that came hot and fresh drizzled with a yum t sauce and i chose a fried roll with tuna and asparagus that was also delicious.
I went here for the first time with my family, they had been raving about it for some time, and mannnn they were not wrong! The service was quick, attentive, and everyone was so friendly and accommodating. For apps we ordered the Tori Karaage, Brussel sprouts, and the spring rolls. For Drinks we ordered their Lychee Martini, very close competition to Poor Calvin's Lychee Martini btw For my entree I ordered the Hollywood Roll, it was delicious, made very fresh and I loved the assorted tobiko on top. I also tried my cousin's yellowtail sashimi which was quite appetizing considering I had never had sashimi before. The ambiance was very balanced in my opinion, they have a large bar, and table settings ranging from 1-4 guests to large parties. It was very spacious and not crammed at all. They also have outside seating. I will definitely be returning to try their happy hour, I heard it's a blast!
All of the sushi rolls were amazing, especially bulgogi roll. The ambiance was good for date night or girls night out: I have been there for both occasions. Service is always excellent and quick. They do refill your water a little too much I believe. Their drinks are strong!

My daughter recommended this restaurant for lunch, and it exceeded our expectations. The server was incredibly attentive and friendly. We loved the Lychee Martini, edamame, and dynamite shrimp appetizers—they were delicious! Our rolls were also enjoyable, and we finished off with a fantastic crème brûlée for dessert. As for parking, there's a free parking garage nearby with a three-hour limit. Overall, we had a great dining experience for lunch!

**Atmosphere:** The restaurant features a low-light ambiance with adequate natural light. The decor has a dark theme, creating a quiet and spacious environment. **Food:** We began our meal with the $12 Dynamite Shrimp, $12 Pan-Seared Dumplings, and $3 Miso Soup. The Dynamite Shrimp was reminiscent of the Bang Bang Shrimp from The One Sushi+, but I preferred this version because it had a stronger spicy kick. I had anticipated the pan-seared dumplings to be fried. They were cooked nicely, but lacked the thin, crispy layer that would have made them more satisfying. The Miso Soup could have had a sharper natural flavor, but there was an unusual smoky taste that elevated it; I’ve never had a smoky miso soup in Atlanta before, which was a delightful surprise. For our main dishes, we ordered four rolls and one hand roll. The $16 Pokémon Roll (Spicy Tuna and Avocado topped with Crab Salad, Salmon, Spicy Aioli, Kabayaki Sauce, and Crunch) was colorful and flavorful, though I don’t have much else to say about it. The $14 Bumble Bee Roll (Shrimp Tempura and Cream Cheese topped with Avocado, Crab Salad, and White Yuzu Sauce) was simple yet enjoyable. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and crispy, and the crab salad was much softer than what I've had at The One Sushi+. The $14 007 Fried Roll (Spicy Tuna, Avocado, Kani Stix, and Shrimp Tempura topped with Crab Salad and Kabayaki Sauce) was impressively large, ideal for one of those big bites where you have to stuff your mouth. The $14 X-Men Roll (listed online as X-Men: Dark Phoenix) (Salmon, Yellowtail, Spicy Tuna, Crunch, Spicy Aioli topped with Black Tobiko) was a bit underwhelming for my taste. As a fan of raw fish and Tobiko, I found myself wanting a bit more than what it offered. My favorite was the $10 Prison Break Ep 8 Hand Roll (Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, Scallion, Jalapeño, Mango, White Truffle Aioli, Masago, and Crunch). The truffle flavor was quite pronounced, which I often find is a challenge to balance well in dishes, but this one came together beautifully. **Service:** We visited during lunchtime when it wasn’t crowded, and we were seated right away. The waitress was very courteous, and our food arrived quickly after we placed our orders. She frequently checked in to ensure our water was refreshed. **Overall:** I had a positive experience. My slight dissatisfaction with one of my rolls wasn't due to poor quality but rather my personal preference for having fish both on top and inside the roll. I would certainly return, and while there were a few minor critiques, I would recommend this place over The One Sushi+ if you’re in the Brookhaven area. Plus, it's slightly more affordable!

I'm visiting from out of state, and this is my second time at this restaurant. The food is consistently fresh. My server was great—he offered me a taste of the wine first, and I really appreciated it because I didn't like it and was able to choose something else. Additionally, as soon as I finished my sushi, the busser promptly cleared away items from my table, giving me more space. The service was excellent overall. I’ll definitely return when I'm back in Atlanta. Five stars across the board!

Favorite sushi spot!! Fudo is honestly such a great spot! The sushi is amazing, no need to drive far or be stuck in Atlanta traffic to get good sushi. We are now regulars. I haven’t had anything on there menu that I didn’t love. Hand rolls are tasty, we get the Epi3 which is delicious . We try different rolls so it’s hard to choose our fav. It depends on mood. House salad is always great starter. The only down side is the wait time during the weekends for dinner. (It only means it’s that good) But it’s worth the wait.

Fantastic sushi place! The menu offers a wide variety of rolls with amusing names. Everything was beautifully prepared and tasted fantastic! I loved the rolls we sampled. The drinks were exceptional—both visually appealing and delicious! The tea brûlée was a wonderful dessert choice! I thoroughly enjoyed everything we experienced, and the service was excellent!
The restaurant boasts a fantastic atmosphere and serves delicious food, making it a must-visit. I always get excited when I see mezcal on the menu, and their cocktails certainly lived up to my expectations. The sushi menu is quite impressive due to its extensive variety, and finding “the one” was definitely a worthwhile endeavor. While "A Star is Born" seems to be a popular choice, it was a bit too fishy for our taste with the tormented fish topping. Our favorite dishes of the evening were the "Hot Night" and the cauliflower appetizer. I dare say... it might just be the best sushi restaurant in Atlanta!
The sushi was delicious and the ambience of the restaurant is beautiful. The dishes are named after films or film figures, which is quite clever. I made a picture from the menu. The restaurant was busy, but waiting for your food wasn't long. Come back here.
This is the first time I ever left a review of a restaurant. This place is great. They have very fun variety of drinks and sushi. The view is very modern. I went here by myself and had great conversation with the person who made my rolls. The servers are very nice too. I would definitely come back here. 100% recommended
My husband and I love Fudo! It is the best sushi restaurant in Georgia, everything deserves 5 stars, since the moment you get there until you leave. Service is great, the atencion is fantastic they are super super nice, and the food is amazing! Our favs are always Ricecake, dynamite shrimp, a star is born and avengers end game. But we love everything they have in the menu. If you like cocktails you definitely have to try dancing with the stars.
