I'd say, if you are already at Hyper U and don't want to go through the trouble of finding somewhere else to eat, Flunch is Okay. But i wouldn't make a special trip. Food is good, for the price. It's cafeteria style. Similar to IKEA, but more poorly organized. Took like 30 minutes to get our main dish. Because first you go through the cashier line, then you queue in the grill line. And the restaurant had low staff. Not enough people behind the grill to handle the flow of customers.
Just acceptable. Really if you have no other chioce. The place is ok and staff was nice but the food is bad quality. And even if they attract you with cheap prices on few dishes, extra drink, desserts, snacks are overpriced.
After shopping in this massive Hyper U store in Challans there is nothing better than going into Flunch for a quick bit to eat or something a little more substantial at really reasonable prices. If you fancy it you can also get a glass of wine or a beer with you meal. I think the supermarket cafe's in the UK could certainly take a look at the French model as an example of customer satisfaction
We have eaten in Flunch restaurants all over France over a period of many years. The Flunch at Challans was as good as any we've been to. Great value for money, very clean environment and lots of happy people enjoying their lunch. We are caravanners who love eating vegetables. But in a caravan they're not easy to prepare. Flunch's legumes a volonte make life so easy and good for you.
