The club was not a bad place. The food was good with substantial meal sizes. The quality is that of a Country club. The staff were very friendly and I observd a young bar maid cutting up a meal for an elderly patron which I thought was very nice of her. In all it was a positive experience. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cessnock Leagues Club:
This is a very modern club I think it must be quite new or recently renovated and it is very nice. The guy on the door was very friendly and helpful. Take your drivers licence if you're not a member. There is a play area for children and several separate areas with pokies, TAB and cafes. The bistro is the usual pub system where you order at the bar and your food is brought out to you. The food was pretty average but... View all feedback.
Passing through Cessnock. After hunting around for a restaurant on Easter Saturday we finally found the Leagues club. Hubby had roast lamb dinner, lamb was fatty carrots were hard. I had salt Pepper squid with chips salad, too much salt not enough pepper on squid. OK meal OK service.
Visiting cessnock for a few days we found the leagues club omg gob smacked amazing staff great food and drink at affordable prices
Came here to see Travis Collins and decided to have a meal in the bistro prior. My partner loved her schnitzel while my lamb cutlets were just ok. Very busy bistro but the staff are very nice and friendly. The club itself appears quite new or it is well maintained or both but I loved it. I decided to join as a member I loved it that much and the benefits are amazing including 20% discount throughout the club. I was watching the show later with $5 schooners, you can’t beat that. Great venue with first class facilities and great staff. I’ll be back.
I like to visit Cessnock for the nearby Hunter Valley wine region cellar doors. The Cessnock Leagues Club allows guest membership. Their dining facilities are excellent, staff is friendly, courteous and efficient, and the Tooheys Old beer is something I haven’t had in decades. It still tastes as good as it did 50 odd years ago. I can thoroughly recommend a visit. The food servings are gigantic.
Saturday night has live music which is a nice touch. If the bistro is full you can eat in the relaxed lounge area. Food was hearty and filling. The kitchen can give you a tax invoice but not the bar, which isn't good for business travellers justifying their expenses. Play roon for kids is good for families. Good amount of choices on the menu but nothing uber healthy. Good pub meal options. If under time constraints great option, what you expect is what you get
