Throw... read more Hang your heads in shame all you places who offer so called bruschetta! You call your measly little slices of bread bruschetta??? Now this is bruschetta! Throw caution to the wind and head out to this little village for an evening you won't forget. Saturday night and Maccanone 704 was buzzing with activity. The queue out the door made me glad my hosts had booked a table as the five of us were led upstairs to what once had been an attic or perhaps the sleeping quarters of this old house. Country style tables and chairs no frills but perfect for what was to come. Service was prompt but friendly, despite the busy evening, and our drinks came as we were still deciding which bruschetta to order. I was cautious and ordered the 44 cm one! That was small. The variety of toppings was bewildering to a first timer, and I was very glad I had my cousins and their friends to help. Had I felt daring I might have gone for a medium one at 74 cm, or extremely daring long at 124 cm. I was reliably informed that the longest was in fact longer than most of the tables so was often served diagonally. Of course, the number of toppings increases too, from two to four. Delicious isn't good enough. It was such pleasure to share our choices and taste many different toppings from salami to mortadella, from aubergine to olives and cheeses. To cap our meal, it was decided that a dessert bruschetta was required and so it was. Topped with that all time favourite Nutella! I kid you not! Nutella, strawberries and cream! Now that's a bruschetta! It was certainly taste assault time. As I wasn't paying, I couldn't comment on prices but I can say that whatever it cost it was value for money. I can't wait to return to Italy to eat here again. The stuff that bruschetta dreams are made of. As we rolled down the path, past the heavenly scented roses, I resolved that I would return. Should you be in Ravenna, then take the time to go out here you will not be disappointed, I promise you.

Short wine's list but interesting labels at cheap price. Wonderful service and nice location. Adviced: wonderful genuine Italians Pasta. For the offered quality we can tell that's a cheap restaurant!
