I really enjoyed my time here, a real gastronomic experience. The reception and service we received from Ángel was excellent so thank you so much. We shared a starter and ordered two main courses. The appetiser was a nice chicken pate. This was followed by a tasty albeit small plate of anchovies served on a brioche. The grilled turbot was cooked to perfection. My steak was well cooked albeit a bit tough. It was washed down with pleasant red and white house wines. The restaurant is part of an historic comolex and estate. We got to look at its 16th Century chapel. Here 's a summary about its full history: In the year 1130 AD, Ponç II of Cervera ceded part of the land of the Molí dels Comdals to Ramon Berenguer III. At the beginning of the 15th century, the Comdals became the property of the Monastery of Montserrat until 1835, when the Medizabal confiscation took place. Els Comdals became the granary of Montserrat that supplied the monastery and the current Gothic mansion was built there as the occasional residence of the Father Abbot of Montserrat. Maintaining a historical respect and responsibility, at Comdals Restaurant, we want to offer a careful and sensitive gastronomic proposal. Respecting local products and their treatment. The restaurant is in an isolated albeit beautiful location in the countryside but close to Cervera. The Camino Catalán passes close by (both routes, the river and road routes) so it 's also an option for pilgrims that arrive hungry from their stage.
