What Onie Cruz doesn't like about Mabuhay Kitchen:
This kitchenette has a variety of good food, and sold at a reasonable price for the right amount of serving. Unfortunately, for the several times that I have visited the place, there is only one server who happens to be the cashier as well. This means very, very slow service. Taking into consideration the food and service, a 3.5 stars will do until improvements can be seen. View all feedback.

The food is really good..specifically the kaldereta...yummy....
If you are looking for a Filipino fast food place that treats its customers decently, this is not the place for you. Their food is decent, but it does not give them a right to be rude (borderline arrogant). For good food and better service, I will recommend Pinoy-Pinay or American Ranch.
Food is good. Staff is NOT. They were rude to my wife and gave us small portions and overcharged. We ate there with them not knowing she understood their language and what they said... I'm surprised that she handled it well and didn't trash the place or cause a scene! She is an Emergency Room Nurse so I suppose shes can manage her emotions and determine what type of people she will waste energy on...and this place doesn't deserve her energy. I'm Puerto rican and I learned to love Filipino people and love their food...sad that this place close to our home has to be so darn rude to their local customers. We will be spreading the word about this and we are definitely having more of our family members and friends come to this place and experience it themselves. I encouraged them to write a review right after...
This restaurant is part of Goldilocks, and it's a bit tricky to decide which one to review, so I'll cover both. The longanisa tasted more like a hot dog; I’m surprised that none of the previous reviewers mentioned this. Perhaps they switched things up because my boyfriend, who isn't Filipino, made the order for takeout. While it looked like longanisa, the flavor was entirely different—it really just tasted like a hot dog. The tocino was decent, but the meat portion was way too small compared to the amount of rice served. I'm extremely confused and disappointed, especially since we didn't realize this until after we got home with our takeout. I wouldn't order breakfast from here again.
