Waterfront Tavern - Central Square
Waterfront Tavern
Description
Nestled in a picturesque location, this restaurant boasts a vibrant atmosphere featuring live music and a spacious outdoor patio. However, opinions on the culinary offerings vary widely. While some rave about the haddock sandwich and fried appetizers, others critique the food as soggy and underwhelming, with negligible portions that disappoint. Service is a mixed bag, with some praising attentive staff while others encounter indifferent waiters. Despite the beautiful setting and potential for enjoyable dining experiences, inconsistencies in food quality and service may leave diners divided. Overall, it remains a place with promise, but caution is advised when choosing menu items.

I stopped by to pick up some takeout for dinner. The bartender was incredibly friendly and attentive. I ordered the steak dinner, and it was excellent! We are definitely planning to make this our go-to spot when we're in town. The food was great and the service was outstanding. Two dinners for just $30 is an amazing deal. We highly recommend it!
This restaurant is much more spacious than it appears from the street, offering plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. You can drive here and park like a local, or if you're coming by boat, there's a large dock that can accommodate vessels of nearly any size. The menu is great, with fantastic daily specials, including walleye on occasion. The service is also quite good. I really appreciate the 'dock and dine' option here; it's definitely a major selling point.
It's November, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that we could still enjoy lunch outside on the deck. My wife ordered a fish sandwich, while I opted for a Philly steak sandwich served with sweet potato fries, and both dishes were excellent.
Service was excellent. It wasn't packed but it was. Tuesday evening. Appetizers were tasty.
