R Diner - Central Square

The food was excellent, as always, but the political rant filled with profanity from some kitchen staff was off-putting.

This diner is the best in the area and a beloved local spot. The service is quick, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast and lunch options are excellent diner fare. I haven't tried the dinner menu, but the pancakes are massive—make sure you're really hungry if you order them! I wish they stayed open a bit later for those late lunch days, but I understand that they cater mainly to locals year-round, so I get the limited hours. This is definitely a place I plan to return to!

I visit this restaurant every day because I love the staff and the food is fantastic. Just make sure you're hungry, as the portions are generous and delicious!

I went alone and sat at the counter to enjoy a Sunday breakfast. They were very busy. I was impressed and was very glad I was able to enjoy my time. Lots of regular customers. Several times, people were stopping to chat with others they knew. Families and cute elderly people were showing up after church. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great. The eggs were cooked the way I asked, bacon was crispy, but not overdone, and the homefries and toast were cooked appropriately. I loved the atmosphere and am looking forward to going again. Watching all the food go by definitely made me want more.
