Fox's Pizza Den - Central City

Has the distinction of being one of only a couple of venues left in Central City, PA where one can order food. It is the only venue in the town that delivers.

We really enjoy Fox's pizza and have had quite a few from this location. The pizza is fantastic, and they give you a generous amount of toppings. The chicken salad is also good, although it had a bit too much cheese. Unfortunately, it's been increasingly difficult to place phone orders. They seem to be short-staffed, and we've noticed that they take the phone off the hook when they can't manage more orders. On several occasions, when we couldn't reach them by phone, we drove over, placed our order, and waited. It was definitely worth it. However, the last time we tried calling and received no answer, we drove down only to find they were closed. I really hope they can hire more staff soon.

I understand people might say, "Why didn’t you just go pick it up?" but I have a catheter due to renal failure, and my wife worked all night and has a chronic ankle issue, so neither of us wanted to cook or go out. If I owned a business, I would do everything possible to honor what my menu states about delivery services. I’m very dissatisfied and may be a former customer going forward.

I can't give this place more than one star, and even that feels generous! You can never get a response from them. Their hours are completely unreliable. I'm honestly baffled by how they are still in business!

The pizza is average. They only accept cash and have inconsistent operating hours.
