The food at this restaurant is fantastic, with a great selection of both drinks and food options. I highly recommend it. The wait and bar staff were exceptional, providing excellent service from the moment we booked our reservation to helping us choose our meal and drinks.

I came here based on a recommendation and it truly is a hidden gem. This quaint, traditional pub offers a variety of real ales and wines at reasonable prices. The locals are friendly and there's even a playful pub cat. The elderly gentleman behind the bar is efficient and runs the place smoothly. Definitely worth checking out, and now that I've found it, I will definitely be returning.

My family, consisting of eight members including my elderly mother, had a wonderful lunch at this charming pub on Tuesday. Despite living just a few miles away, it was my first visit. I usually don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my positive experience. The atmosphere, the staff, and the food were all exceptional - a rare find nowadays. The landlord, despite the place being fully booked, graciously accommodated two additional family members at our table. They also went out of their way to cater to my mother's dietary restrictions. The homemade dishes were delicious and reasonably priced, as evidenced by our clean plates. I cannot praise this place enough and we will definitely be returning for regular lunches.

Myself and two ex work colleagues meet every 3months'ish for lunch and we like to explore different venues. The Stone Jug was my choice and the minute I walked through the front door I knew I had made a mistake. I had neglected to book and the pub was booked solid for Christmas lunches. I explained my predicament to the landlord who, most apologetically,confirmed he could not find us a table. He then pulled out all the stops to provide us with Turkey sandwiches. His focus on looking after us was absolutely exemplary given that he was in the middle of serving 50+ lunches. I cannot rate his focus on his customers too highly. The sandwiches were excellent as was the choice and quality of his real ales. As we left he said he looked forward to seeing us again, but please could we remember to book!! My answer was yes to both.

WE TOOK MY DAD HERE 3 TIMES AND HE LOVED THE FOOD. THERE ON 30TH NOVEMBER WAS HIS BIRTHDAY. HE PAST AWAY 2 MONTH AGAIN SO WE WENT HERE TO HONOR HIS BIRTHDAY
