What User likes about The Chequers:
good location, if they are on walks, the staff at the bar were friendly. could be with the removal of the old pavillon and with a bit of a redesign outside, but for a dug stop is a great location. View all feedback. What Misstriffick doesn't like about The Chequers:
Nice pub and location but the food was overpriced and extremely lacking. We both ordered chicken burgers, tiny piece of chicken slapped between a dry disintegrating bun, tiny amount of nondescript salad and bland chips. Packet of mayonnaise was the highlight. read moreNestled in a picturesque location, The Chequers pub offers a mixed dining experience. Many patrons enjoy the warm ambiance and friendly service, frequently highlighting the welcoming staff and hearty pub grub. However, some customers express disappointment with the food quality and value, specifically criticizing the lack of flavors in burger offerings and higher prices for basic meals. While the pub caters well to walk-ins, families, and dog owners, it could benefit from elevating its menu and improving overall food consistency. Those seeking a casual atmosphere may find it enjoyable, but culinary enthusiasts might leave wanting more.
