Beautifully restored restaurant in an old hotel overlooking the typical small town square with a gorgeous stone court house in the middle. Looks like a scene out of a movie set in Middle America. Food was very good, reasonably priced. We arrived atabout 4 p.m. before the dining room was opened. But, service was very good in the front bar/lobby area. And, we had a frontrow seat overlooking the coming and goings in the Continental Hotel and on the town square. We will definitely return on ournext road trip through this part of Iowa.

We were seated quickly. Drink order was taken quickly as well as food order. Everything came out as requested. Great ambience. Would definitely recommend as a date lunch, date night place!
