Romer's
Description
This neighborhood spot offers a large, varied menu with memorable items like turkey balls, plus pool, darts, cornhole, live music, trivia nights and big‑screen sports — a lively, group‑friendly bar for casual nights out.
Visitors report inconsistent food and slow or brusque service, plus lapses in cleaning and COVID precautions that leave the patio and bar crowded and smoky; worth visiting for atmosphere but temper expectations on service and safety.

However, one Saturday night, we dropped in to play darts and enjoy some beers. Without a table, we tried to order drinks at the bar. The bartender, who wasn’t busy and was chatting with other patrons, abruptly yelled at us to sit down and told us that our server would get our drinks. We were taken aback by his rudeness. So, we found a table instead. It took twenty minutes for our first round of drinks to arrive, and the poor server was managing the entire place all on her own. Surprisingly, the bartender wasn't serving any drinks; it was the server who was handling everything! I thought the bartender might just be having a bad night, but I’ve witnessed him treating other customers this way on different occasions. After our last experience, I don’t think we’ll be back for some time—it’s really disappointing. He could handle things more politely, or at least explain why we couldn’t order at the bar if we had a tab with a server. The whole situation just didn’t make sense. I used to bartend myself, and I’d advise Andy at the bar to take it down a notch.
I ventured out of my comfort zone to try the turkey balls, and I was pleasantly surprised by their crispy exterior and well-balanced filling. While they’re still not my favorite, I can see some people enjoying them more than I did. The jalapeno poppers, on the other hand, were a big letdown. I was particularly excited to find cheddar jalapeno poppers because most places only offer cream cheese, but these were filled with a runny nacho cheese that tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a week. I couldn’t manage more than a bite. The cheese sticks and onion rings were just okay; they met my expectations but didn’t exceed them. Considering this place is known for its bar food, I expected a lot more. While I might return for the grilled chicken, I doubt I’ll delve much further into the menu.
Nothing remarkable here—just an average bar and grill. The number of TVs is limited, and when we arrived, half of them weren’t even turned on. The bar area is quite small, likely seating only around ten people. While there’s a decent variety of liquor, the craft beer selection is rather limited. We didn't try the food. The bar itself had a somewhat dingy and unkempt appearance, suggesting it attracts a lot of locals or regulars. Overall, it feels like a typical neighborhood watering hole—maybe fine for a last stop on the way home, but we probably won’t make a special trip back. The bartender was friendly, but appeared to be a bit overwhelmed.
Can't believe I even have to put a bad review but man the service I received tonight was so uncalled for that I'm never coming back so I get off work go in there and some lady spilled her drink on me (I repeat spilled HER DRINK ON ME) AND the bartender Andy told me to get the **** out when first off I was going to clean up the mess that someone spilled on me for him and then everyone at the bar started getting in my face and 2nd off I work right next door and I'm always bringing over free food like i literally did nothing wrong but walk in the bar so if anyone gives a **** to read this please do something about your bartender's attitude because that was complete bullshit honestly Andy is lucky y'all do not have a corporate because he would be fired and I can't wait to find out who his boss is so I can have a talk with him about the service I received tonight
We have been coming for lunch for years. The last few times have been less than good. I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak. I got a burnt bun with burnt meat. I found two peanut sized pieces of green pepper and one peanut sized piece of onion. There was enough meat to put on one half of a 6 inch bun. We also got onion strings that were mostly just the crunch stuff off of the onion. Majorly over done. Very disappointed. The last time I got the teriyaki chicken which was basically chicken no sauce. Sad because they were always very good and we recommended them all the time.
