Reviews - Chocklo
Reviews summary
Nestled off I‑25 near Yosemite, this family-run spot turns Latin street food into a lively, approachable menu. Arepas, desgranados and inventive tortas arrive fresh, beautifully plated and well‑portioned, with bold sauces and standout meats. An in‑house pastry chef supplies tempting desserts while quick, friendly service keeps the compact, cozy dining room moving. Some dishes blend regional styles rather than strict Colombian tradition, but adventurous locals and travelers keep returning for dependable, flavorful comfort food.

So flavorful and delicious. Came here for dinner and had to study the menu a little bit to figure out what to get! Am not as familiar with Latin street food so we didn't know what to expect. Got the arepa paisa and desgranado. The meats were so good and the sauces just made the dishes. The portion was the perfect size too. Can't wait to go back and try more! The restaurant is small but on a Thursday night at 6 there... View all feedback.
What Ashtyn Koss dislikes about Chocklo:
flavore was good but it was over all dissapointing. the empanadas are made with bread which makes it feel more mexican than colombian. the bandeja paisa did not have colombian beans it had black beans and the steak was season with mexican seasoning not colombian . View all feedback.

During my business trip, I absolutely had to try this restaurant! The Latin food is outstanding, featuring incredibly unique flavors. I can't wait to return soon!
Incredible food and friendly staff! The portions are generous and everything is fresh. They also made it easy to cater to my Celiac needs. Be sure to support this hidden gem in the neighborhood!
This has become my favorite local restaurant. The food is incredibly tasty, beautifully presented, and made with great care. We plan to make frequent visits here! This family-run establishment truly deserves recognition!
Loved this place! I don't get to Denver often, but when I do and can have a meal there, I try to pick something different to expand my palate. We LOVED the Yucca fries. All of the different dishes we had were great. I hope we are able to visit again soon.
I am in love with this place, how did I not know this was here!? Nestled back behind i25 off Yosemite, this hidden (or not so hidden) gem will not disappoint. I ordered the Torta Azteca and it was absolutely phenomenal! Also, they have an in house pastry chef and I would have bought all of those desserts if calories weren't an option. I still took home 2 desserts for later and I'm so glad I did! If you want variety and something new, or a great home vibe, this place will not disappoint!

This restaurant has quickly become my favorite local spot, and I plan to make it a regular destination! The food is fresh, incredibly tasty, well-portioned, beautifully presented, and prepared with great care right in front of you. The menu features a variety of Latin American dishes from different regions, ensuring there's something for everyone. This charming family-run business truly deserves some recognition!
Heading from Denver to Pueblo we wanted to grab something quick for lunch. I didn't want something typical like a sandwich and saw chocklo on our route. What a great find! The restruant was empty of other customers. The server was friendly and our order was taken and delivered quickly. I had a chicken Arapa Paisa. It was larger than I expected. It was topped with shredded chicken, fried plantain, black beans, onion and sauces. It was delicious. My husband had a Arepa Charra with sweet corn and al pastor. It was not as spicy as the al pastor he gets at Mexican restaurants. He enjoyed it.
This place is a hidden gem. Every dish we tried was amazing. I highly recommend the Arepas, and the Empanadas make for a fantastic snack on the go!
