If I had read the reviews prior to going I may have stayed home but I am so glad I didn't. We found the staff to be very friendly and quick to come and take our order. The restaurant was clean and there was lots of room to move without bumping into other patrons. Our meals came out very quickly and to say we were blown away by the taste is an understatement. Went to this restaurant for the first time a week ago and it was amazing....HOWEVER... wanted to go today for our wedding anniversary, the web page said it was open...get there...."sorry closed"...very disappointed, and not at all happy. + View all feedback.
I'm scaryly more demanding cook by myself and so far the best I had in albany. all cooked to the point. perfectly seasoned. my gut was amazing. thanks for the perfect meal
We come here after the side pendant and we were quite surprised with the quality of food and the staff was very helpful and polite. recommend joop thai
A wonderful culinary experience. the staff is friendly and friendly and attentive. our meals were absolutely fabulous, full-bodied and generous portions. recommended for those who visit albany.

Hi ALL After a long day travelling, we booked a table for 2 at Joop Thai. Arrived a little early and despite the Covid-19 seating issues, we were seated promptly. Delightful decor, and well a presented menu. The table water served chilled and was given time to order. We ordered mains 3way Duck, a Chicken Red curry and a entree of seafood Tom Yum. A little wait 20min, but the food presentation was sublime. See photos. There was no hovering by the waitstaff, letting us enjoy our meal. Sometimes your Eyes are bigger than your Belly at the plentiful portion size, so we finished with a doggie bag. A GREAT MEAL, and a real hidden Gem of Albany. Thankyou
