Was Karen K at Cj's Highmarks a mag?
We were there for a friend's birthday and had a lovely time. Our waitress was excellent. She was attentive and didn't rush us. We had a view of the golf course, which was great. View all feedback.
What John Alhelm dislikes about Cj's Highmarks:
I've visited this restaurant several times while visiting family, and the food has always been good. The mashed potatoes are amazing! However, about ten minutes after eating some sirloin steak, I unfortunately got sick and had to rush to the bathroom. When I told the manager, she asked if she could get me anything else to eat. Thankfully, my dad accidentally ordered prime rib, which turned out to be great! View all feedback.

The first impression of this place is that the employees could care less about being there. The atmosphere is rather bland and cheap looking. The menu is mostly fried foods and offers little if you are vegetarian. Our server was extremely slow and seemed to be annoyed that she had to wait on us.
I've dined at CJ Highmarks several times over the past few years, and I've always enjoyed the food. However, one of my family members has Celiac disease and suffers severely from gluten exposure. We had read online that the restaurant is quite accommodating for those with gluten sensitivities, and while our waitress was indeed helpful, the menu is quite misleading. Many dishes are labeled as Certified Gluten Free, but after inquiring further, we discovered that this is not the case. The gluten-free items are fried in the same oil as those containing gluten, which poses a serious health risk for individuals with Celiac disease. This needs to be addressed to protect those who may suffer illness due to gluten in their meals.
