Bayview Pub - Celina
Bayview Pub
Description
Bayview Pub offers a unique atmosphere and live music but has faced recent criticisms regarding food quality and service. While some patrons appreciate the charm and friendly bartending, others have been disappointed by long wait times and issues like finding plastic in their pizza. Service inconsistencies have led to frustration, particularly when regulars seem prioritized over newcomers. Despite its family-friendly vibe and accessible facilities, negative dining experiences, including slow kitchen service, have left some guests unlikely to return. For those seeking a pleasant evening, it’s advisable to check kitchen hours in advance and perhaps dine elsewhere if time is a concern.

When I arrived at Bayview Pub, I almost wondered if it was open—there was no one around and it was very quiet outside. Inside, I was warmly welcomed by a friendly bartender named Dre. After a long day, it was refreshing to hear a kind voice. I asked for a menu, and she quickly confirmed that the kitchen was still open. I ordered the chopped steak wrap, which was quite good and arrived piping hot. If it weren’t for Dre’s engaging personality and how she connected with the two other patrons in the empty bar, the evening would have felt much lonelier. To the owner: take good care of Dre—she’s one of the best bartenders I’ve met. Also, consider posting your kitchen hours separately from your open hours, as it would have impacted my experience if the kitchen had been closed.
The atmosphere was extremely loud and chaotic, and we were unable to get a waitress to attend to our table. Therefore, we chose to leave!
I didn't sample the food, so I can't speak to its quality. However, it's a delightful little place with amazing live music and a chance to dance if that's your thing. My only complaint was that the bartender took a while to take our orders, as she seemed to prioritize serving the regulars she recognized over those of us who had arrived first.
I've been a loyal customer at Bayview for many years, and I've always enjoyed both the ambiance and the food. However, during my visit today, we ordered pizza, which was delicious, but we unfortunately discovered pieces of plastic on it. I pointed this out to the waitress, who apologized and suggested that it might have come from the plastic wrapping used for the dough. We requested that she dispose of the remaining pizza, as I couldn't continue eating it. I was hoping for a small gesture of compensation since we had to throw it away, but regrettably, nothing was offered.
I didn't try the food, so I can't comment on that. It's a charming little place with fantastic live music and dancing if you're in the mood for it. My only complaint is that the bartender tends to prioritize orders based on familiarity rather than who was first in line, which can be frustrating.
