Was Anonym at River King a mag?
Not from the local area, was having a bird to eat in our friends house, staff were really friendly and food was excellent. It's a dine in restaurant as well and in a great location, will have to visit at some point when Covid allows View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about River King:
Great food but every time I order for delivery in Straffan it's at least to hours. I really like the staff and food but your delivery drivers are letting you down. Plus they never deliver to my house. It's away because they can't be bothered to drive in to the estate. View all feedback.

Great food but every time I order for delivery in Straffan it's at least 90min to 2 hours. I really like the staff and food but your delivery drivers are letting you down. Plus they never deliver to my house. It's 40feet away because they can't be bothered to drive in to the estate.
Very helpful staff and friendly atmosphere. Celebrating our grandson 18th birthday
Overall, the restaurant is decent. The chicken balls have a unique taste, but the rest of the dishes are somewhat bland. The munchie box for two is quite large and can comfortably serve four people, so keep that in mind when ordering.
I really enjoy dining at River King restaurant.
The food at River King is consistently outstanding. The service, whether dining in or ordering by phone, is always impeccable. I've never had a negative experience.

Very rude staff here, long waits for food, sat there for an hour waiting for a collection, charged 50c extra for sauce on the side which I refused to pay for because I wasn't told about it when ordering, it's a real pity because the food is actually nice but they need to step up on service and manners.
DO NOT order from RIVERKING!!!!!! I placed an order at 18:00pm , the wrong order came at 18:40 in which I rang and they said they had made a mistake when taking the order that they would drop it ASAP. Still no sign after another hour 19:40). I ring back to ask for a refund as the food had just arrived that minute almost 2 hours later)! They say you can give the food back if you want your refund and then try to turn it around on me saying I didnt order so so after telling me multiple times they took the order wrong!! No apology, no credit or anything for THIER mistake. This is now the 3rd time this has happened. Also the lady on the phone was so so rude almost trying to have an argument. I requested a call from a Manager as apparently “He is not in “ Appalling service, NEVER AGAIN !! AVOID! River King Chinese
Delicious food, freshly cooked spicy curry sauce we will return. Waitress was on her own waitressing, answering phones, dealing with walk ins etc … so could have came across abrupt and pressured. But was friendly towards us.
Absolutely ridiculous service !!! a very very rude broken english young lady just keep telling me to and my food will be ready shortly ..... got my order done online for more than 40 minutes but still have to wait 30 minutes while collecting , personally i would not treat a 30 minutes waited as a SHORTLY !!! food was fine as usual ..... wont visit there again in the future !
Ordered fillet beef what we got was beef hard and solid had to cut it with a steak knife,rang to explain that we had ordered fillet beef but we got the ordernary beef they insisted that it was fillet. Will not be buying from them again pity we have been a good custermer 5yrs .

I would be highly recommended river king a few years ago but NOT more!!! Food was nice service is good in recent years ...... recently came back to the celbridge and I was really miss the food . unfortunately had a very rude asian girl broken english everything destroyed! very disappointed with the bad service and not even understand some basic English and they always say your food will be soon....ok food is still good what it is worth waiting and a star is just for the food. But the rest is awfully ridiculous and very disappointed!
I hate to leave a negative, but I have to... eat was okay, but the waitress is very rude and badly communicating, worst service ever!
Have always loved Riverking and would have recommended it widely, however over the past month or so the take away service has taken a nose dive. We have had orders with items missing 3 or 4 times, on one particular time I was told the item was not on the order even though it was the first thing I had ordered mentioning that it had been left out of our previous one. The delivery driver didn't even get out of the car to deliver the late item and ended up dropping g it on the ground. For us it's gone from the only place we would eat Chinese to a place we will avoid. Very disappointing
